Not compatible with ProfitUI. I dropped it in and now can't click on mailboxes, doors, people, etc and chat channels don't show up.


*edit* Seems they might have borken ProfitUI

I just downloaded the D version, tried to find

Name="TestHUD" Opacity=

in the clock.xml and can't find it anymore.

Double posting ftw.


Is there any update to this? I've noticed there's a bug here and there where someone goes into combat around me, and the HUD pops up and doesn't go away till after I've been in combat. It's repeatable and does it every so often.


Any other updates to this or have you released a 'final' version in downloads?

Ach, completely forgot about this. :p

Here's the final version. The problem with starting out visible and not hiding until first combat has been resolved by having a trigger image use the IsHated DynamicData instead of trying to get the window to work initially.

I won't be working on this any further in the forseeable future, so anyone who wants to re-arrange the bars to their liking and upload it to the files section in their own name has my blessing and encouragement to do so.

does anyone know if this has gotten broke? i just downloaded the most recent version but all i see is a couple of vertical black bars where the hud should be. am i doing something wrong?

scratch that, never mind. apparently i had the dds file in the wrong place. after reading the thread through again i guess it needs to go in the main ui directory. works like a charm in there. thanks for this mod, it rocks!

Heh yes this is a cool mod. I did play around with it at the time of my post up there, like rearranging this to be horizontal and at the bottom (on huge mobs it looks strange otherwise) adding health and power % numbers, etc. and used it for a moment. But I think in the end I thought except for the wow-factor it is just easier to check a fixed spot in your UI instead of finding those bars running around the battlefield. But yes, the wow effect is clearly there, in particular Deathbane's Star Wars style graphics. :)

Is there any chance that one of you awesome UI modders could fix this to work with the lastest LU? I use ProfitUI, and until ROK (just got back 2 weeks ago from 4 month vacation in Yucatan) it worked fine. Now, It doesn't pop up.

Any chance please?

Wow...I never saw this until today. It has a really good wow-factor and I do love it. I am a healer at heart and since switching to profit, I just can't get my head around my taget's health bar being in a different place, despite the health bar being displayed in 3 places on the profit screen :)

I'm hoping that with a huge health bar in the middle of my screen will stop my tanks dying because I am not looking. hehe

Well....I took Profits clock and added the code for the HUD in and it all works nice :)

Only downside is if gm9 changes anything in the clock, I'll have to update the code. But, I don't see much else that gm9 would want to change as it is already awesome :) but then again, some great people are coming up with new ideas everyday.

If you are using the profit auto-updater then you have to tell it to ignore the clock. Otherwise it will over-ride the code.

I'll post it later for those intrested.

Remember, both files go in your profit directory. Don't put the dds file in your images directory.

Stuff like this should be a separate window, but yes, I don't have any plans of modifying the clock, so should be safe.

If there is real interest in this I can see if I still have my old files and properly integrate this with the UI. Actually that would be the fifth place your health is displayed - at least in a raid (XP window, players window, group window, raid window and HUD). :D

Goes in the same category as Faetyl's fish breath meter I think. ;)

ProfitUI indeed has no shortage of health and power displays, so I'm kind of surprised to see your interest in this idea gm9 :p.

As you said, gm9, it is the wow-factor. I can see myself getting bored or annoyed eventually, but I will keep it a while.

I just tried it out in Maidens. Was fun :)

If you do add it, make it an optional extra, like the different group mods in the auto-updater.

I can see it now..the new Advert. "Get ProfitUI...Now with even more WOW-Factor" :eek:

I hope you do find the version that you made. Would be intrested to see what you have done with it.

Well, lets break this down a bit more. Before I get, thank you for the update. Going to try it out now.

To break it down:

1) Yes, it has an awesome wow factor
2) If someone gets aggro, group or raidwide, it pops up. Instant notification before someone screams into the mic about getting aggro. You'll be the first to know.
3) I can put my hotbar for healing spells, 2x6, at the bottom right of the ). I put my combat arts (dps melee specc'd Inquistor FTW) on the lower left (. I don't have to move my cursor as much during raids. Sometimes I pump 2 hotbars on each side for the little extras I might need, as the case may warrant.

This hud is very versatile. My only complaint is that I don't know how to make different () in the hud.

Hehe, yes, I thought I said personally I was not interested. Although it's a neat mod the first time you try it out. ;)

Here's a screenie. I use alot of dif types of mods and my setup is a bit different. I usually put target on the top left ( and target/target on the top right ), just haven't gotten around to it since I just got back from a 4 month vacation in the Yucatan :nana:

my group bar is horizontal and runs across the top of my chat with the breath bar/casting bar in between the player and group windows. Very nice setup and easy for a melee healer :cool:

Well since sarcasm is hard to do on the net, I had to do the "..." I could of done the :rolleyes:, but that smiley is lame.

Heres a print screen. I like these graphics cuz you could tell whoever made em didn't make em end up like the star wars ones. lol. I had to edit some elements like the original metahud's alpha, and the gradient bar didn't look completely gradient so i had to edit that.

Maybe you can anti-alias the graphics so it does not look quite as edgy. Otherwise looks nice.

Man I don't know how to anti-alias. I just ripped the bars from the MetaMod and edited a few things

I didn't like Deathbane's HUD because I could not get use to it. It was much different than the traditional HUDs I'm use to. I made my own, making it based on what I thought would help me. Self bars on the left, Target bars on the outside right, and Implied Target bars on the inside right. Personally I found mine easier and less confusing, but I hadn't had much time to get use to Deathbane's.

I can make it like Deathbane's if you want and upload that version for you. I'll see what works and I'll see what I'm going to do later.

That is, in fact, why it is beta

I just had become used to how it was.

You should have seen me when I first switched to profit.

Healer + New UI + Wine + Maidens = Dead group

I just blaimed gm9, so I got away with it. And I got that fabled Gi so all is good.

I will say that I liked Deathbane's version because it was symetrical, and as a healer, I had all 3 health bars together "self, target and implied"

I'll probably make it 2 variants. I think I'm also going to add a usersettings.txt (like my inventory, or gm9's curescode settings files) file so you guys can customize it the way you'd like. Say you wanted text to be shown, then you would just go to the .txt file and change the value from false to true.

I'm sure it would be very easy. It might take a bit because that's a lot of coding for me, but I'll do it.
