Not sure if it's just me... but the 8.0 hotbars seem to be having the resizing issue the default ones did. By that I mean they're still having the same default size when smaller... making it impossible to stack them tightly like I like to.

Yah there's a minimum height issue when icons are smaller than 33. I'll have to play with it to see if it can be fixed. I suspect the window is hard coded to use set minimum height based off the spinner's height. I may be able to work around this but its obviously changed from pre LU30 since my windows behave differently now and they didn't change.

I just did some tests with the Inventory.Locator. Its deffinetly a minimum size issue. You'll notice the hieght changes when the spinner is hidden. If you set the spinner how you want it, use the Locator script box to set the minimumsize to 0,(icons size +6), then drag an edge of the hotbar, it works as it should.

Are you saying that you figured out a solution to "the" hotbar issue or will this only work with your specific hotbars?

If this will work with other modded hotbars how would I go about implementing this fix into the version that I use? I know that you described the fix but it's a bit over my head. :confused:

BTW, I've been reading more and more about your UI and have found several pieces that I'd like to try. Is it extremely difficult to pull out just certain aspects of your UI and add them into an already existing custom set up? I'm running about 20 individual pieces that I'm quite fond of and would like to add items from your UI to them. Such as the ClickStrike, MiniMap and the Quest Helper for starters.

Due to the rather extensive reskining and interlinking across windows for various features, your best bet wuold be to install the entire Fetish set, then patch your pieces over it.

Before you patch in your pieces, I suggest you first try the set as is to see if you can avoid replacing some windows. Once you've identified pieces you want to replace, make sure there isn't some Fetish feature in those pieces that depends on interoperability, then replace the piece with your version.

Off the top of my head, the following features depend on code in other windows.

ClickSearch: buttons in the Examine windows link to the Market window.
Personabar: shown by the Clock window.
ClickStrike: shown by the Clock window.
ClickCures: activated by buttons in both the Player and Group windows.
Hide Any Fog: Depends on the Fetish skin files for EQ2Maps.

You'll also probably want to check the add-ons for the Fetish set to see if there's a version of the piece you want already reskinned for Fetish. For example, there are a few startbutton/command center add-ons that include many of the options available from similar stand-alone mods.

Transmuting
 

Transmuting does not produce any events to counter while making adornments which use only transmuting skill.
So you would not see those icons in any UI.
Adornments that you make at as any other crafter would produce and display same icons that your normal crafting proccess.

Hey Zonx, i just noticed that the new frostfell patch, with the 'grab and tag' -quest thingy in QH, opens a window that just appears black to me... im assuming this is a UI issue, just wanted to let you know, i dont really need it, hehe. I had the same happen with another window, that opened as just black, with no option to close it, but i forgot which, ill post if i see it again :)

Well, I've just had to reinstall xp and eq2 after a hd trash, and downloaded the latest fetish nighfall 8.0 (and the speed bump) ... everything is working perfectly (and yes, i cannot play eq2 without your UI) apart from one thing, I didn't have a window for resizing my hotbuttons... just a blank black/white box.. anyway i checked in the RAR for fetish as well as in my eq2/UI directory and it seems to be missing eq2ui_popup_hotkeyoptions.xml ... Anyway i can't find a copy of fetish 7.5 (i'm pretty sure that had it :P) but in the meantime i have copied over the Default UI xml. Was hoping someone could fix this or at least tell me where i can get a fetish XML for the hotbutton options. Thanks in advance ^^ :o

my hot bar options window is all black. Because of this I cant change the any of those options and I have to push the bar off the screen but everything is perfect. I definately cant play without this.

Yeah love the Fetish UI Zonx...I was in a pissy mode last night when I had to go back to default because I couldn't adjust the Hot Bar sizes...Do we have a time frame when this will be updated along with the Community Looking for Group feature???

Ok. I gave in and you now have me. I went for the FetishClassic version and am loving the changes. I spent the entire night testing and setting it up to work with several of my other UI pieces but all in all I'm quite amazed at how little I ended up replacing.

I never once thought that I would turn to a full custom UI set but yours has taken over my UI folder like nothing else.

I'll probably have some comments, suggestions and a lot of questions once I get everything setup as I like but I'll save that for now and try to pick the appropriate thread and time. For now I just wanted to say thank you and to let you know that you have impressed another long time piecemeal user.

The acheivement respec vendor doesn't work at all with Fetish--it will say "UI not ompatible" or some such---have to switch to default for it to work

Problems with Hotbar settings
 

Can anyone tell me how to fix the hot button settings, when i open it, i just get a black outline with a white box in center, no text or anything. trying to fix it so i can drag my buttons around but cann't see anything.

Also, how do i open infocenter, no button for it.

8.2 includes the new hotkey options window.

There are buttons for Infocenter in the Startmenu, Persona/Details, and a few of the "?" buttons for other windows.

Hide the Heraldry on Cloak
 

I can tick the box in the persona window to show the heraldry (i want to hide it) but nothing happens an i can´t reverse it.

The box for hide my cloak works, but i can´t reverse it. I allways have to relogg for that.

hey Zonx.. the UI is great.

When I log into the game, I get the background music playing, even though the settings for it in game and in the UI are 0... any clue?

I also accidently opened up the Hotbar settings for one of my hotbars, and all I get is a black rectangle with a white rectangle in it... and there is no close button. but eventually after just clicking all around it, I can close it, but the grid for the hotbar disappears....

any suggestions?

So far I've found that the "?" help button on the Socials, Recipe and Quest window all toggle the InfoCenter.

I believe this is something SOE did (since my V7.5 mainchat also does this) but now the chat is going under the scroll bar. That's very annoying for tab users like me, IMHO.

7.5 is OK in that the scrollbar at least hides itself when the window isn't hovered over, but in 8.2 (and 8.0) the bar follows the opacity rules of the frame/titlebar, which can be annoying because hiding it will also hide tabs.

Yeah i got the same issue Lordebon, Scrollbar hides the last 3 letters to the right, thats what u mean isn't it?

I also use tabs.

Why do you need to see tabs when your mouse isn't over the window? Personally I know what tab is showing just by the contents of the window and only need to see the actual tabs when I want to switch between them (and my mouse is over the window).

Im useing version 8.1 at moment and trying to remove friends from friend list and game keeps crashing to desktop, does 8.2 fix this since this is the only problem i got.

hello, i have a problem in combat, sometimes my icon is blocked and the spell won't launch. Like the third icon, i need to press my key a second time.

I only use keyboard shortcuts and do not click the icon with the mouse. It only does it with your UI and i use the latest fetish nightfall.

I saw that the spell bar option dont work in this edition 8.2 can't it be fixed all i get is a big black square with a white square inside the black. no good :) it is a good UI and i used it since i first saw it like 2 years ago.

I did have the same problem in fetish nightfall 8.0 :)

I need to see them so I can see if I get say, a new tell or something new is said in another tab. I use oodles of them, and am always switching back and forth hehe.

But I've solved that particular problem with the V 7.5 chat window. The main problem I'm having now is the fact that the chat bar is _always_ over text, in the past it was its separte area I think. But it looks like something SOE changed, since the v7.5 does that also where it didn't use to.

It seams I completely overlooked the LU30 changes to the respec window. I recommend you delete eq2ui_popup_achievementmerchant.xml from your Fetish directory.

zonx thats not the only one thats affected also the eq2ui_popup_loadskin is affected also from GU30.

I just forgot to post eq2ui_pop_loadskin and eq2ui_popup_achievementmerchant in this thread, been busy with RL. I know these 2 files been affected since Fetish Nightfall 8.0 (GU30). I just kept forgetting to come here and post about it.

I tried and edit the achievement file, but had trouble locating certain things in ur file layout. But I'm not giving up on it. :)

i love this UI and the only porblem i have had is that when i search for players LFG it just says {DEVL} test what is that and how do i fix it?

Fetish idea for Master Rage powers...

As a 65 berserker who loves the Fetish mod, and also loves my master rage abilities (all 10 or so of them) I think an extremely useful mod (if this is doable) is the ability to have a giant letter or two on top of the icons on the HOT bar. Or maybe even below them or above them made into the actual graphic of the hotbar instead?

I have one hott bar set up, just for my master rage powers. But, every rage power has the exact same Icon. I've always wished I could just have a giant "SK" on top of the Skelton rage, and a giant "GH" on top of Ghost and so on. And if that's not doable, change the graphic of the box so that it says the name of the ability under each box. Once again, I have no idea if this is doable or not.

Is a mod like that at all doable? If so, this would open up custom options on all kinds of other buttons and stuff too that would be awesome mods!!!

I have an issue with purchasing respecs. it says the UI mod is incompatible with the new window :confused:

I saw this posted somewhere else in this thread, but I didn't see any responses. I am having an issue with my toolbars after going to 8.2. When I try to go to the hotbar options to make it so I can drag icons again (I have all mine locked) I just get a black window that pops up, and I have to click around until I find the cancel button to get rid of it. I wiped out my old fetish directories and did a fresh install. I'll try to post up a screenshot next time i'm in the game.

Any help would be great, it's kind of a pain having all my bars locked :)


***I think I figured out my issues, I am surprised I was not having more.. I just realized the directory structure changed some, I extracted it the way I alway do, but now I have the UI/Fetish/UI/FetishNightfall directory, I think if I install it correctly it will fix my issues.

Yep, that's the problem. The way you extracted means you're still loading the prior version, which didn't include the new Hotkey options.
