Threat/Hate/Agro Bar

Is there a UI mod that adds a threat/hate/agro bars to the player, group and raid windows:confused:

gm9 09-26-2008 04:48 PM

yes, for WoW I think. :p (in other words: no)

ruladain 09-26-2008 07:05 PM

Think anyone will make one for EQII?

nluerdarea 09-26-2008 09:06 PM

No

It currently is impossible to detect how much hate you currently have both in-game, and to UI modders. Also, each mob would have their own hate with each player and with adds, it wouldn't be very useful anyways.

ruladain 09-27-2008 05:47 AM

well I guess you'll need to figure out how to make it work than...

lol jk:D

Trying something new, consolidating the million threads on the same issue and stickying them. Some common curtesy people, use forum search.

Threat Meter

From test notes:
"Threat output and hate position changes will now be displayed to the chat windows. You can find it under Combat in the Hate Adjustment category."
Not fully understanding the changes yet looks like it is a step towards being able to add this feature in. Good luck all and thank you for your hard work.

So back on the wish list for 2009 a request for threat position ie hate meter.

samejima 01-09-2009 07:37 AM

They coded one as well in this update log into test and check it out!

gm9 01-09-2009 09:00 AM

Lol I knew I should have closed this thread before GU51 hit Test. ;) The default UI will have a hate meter (showing your hate in relation to the person on top of the hate list). So no need to request one.

Rothgar is still working on the default threat window btw, he told me some crazy stuff about adding an animated background and using the new int() function. Sounded like he was having fun. ;)

Regarding the "hate position changes" I haven't seen any of those go into chat so far and from my discussion with Rothgar I don't think they are supposed to (we didn't talk about this point in particular though, I actually only read that afterwards). Or probably it refers only to spells that move you a defined amount of steps up or down the hate list.

Drumstix42 01-09-2009 12:29 PM

Most likely spells that literally say they do between X and Y ammount of threat, will go into the chat (like damage) so that you can see....

1: how much threat you did
2: if it criticals or not, and how much it was for

gm9 01-09-2009 12:55 PM

Yes that does indeed go into chat but the update notes talked about "hate position changes" which I read as referring to the position on the hate list.

Calain80 01-09-2009 01:56 PM

It also shows Taunts/ detaunts with positional changes as an extra text, but not if you actually change a hateposition.

Landiin 01-09-2009 04:00 PM

Exactly if you go up/down in position from DPSing that position change will not go to the log, but if you do a position change via ca/spell the that will be sent to the log, that's what it looks like to me. I haven't had a chance to get a full on group going to really test but just from some random person and I testing that's what it seem to be doing.

gm9 01-09-2009 04:17 PM

Yes, that would be in line with what Rothgar told me, your actual hate list position is not sent down to the client.

rotax 03-31-2009 08:32 PM

may have been mentioned or requested already, but how bout something simple, and less stupid looking than the bubble and weapons.

all i care about is the number, i don't need a huge picture telling me ###, when ### is all i care about.

but i guess SOE wants to be cute for the general public...

:D
