I got home at 10 am and didnt check e-mail till like 1pm and missed the 12pm deadline last week. I was playing EQ tho so thats a good excuse right?? I'm very glad ya let me in and I'm looking forward to wasting my whole weekend in front of my machine!!! (well not wasting but the honey do list will have to wait!!)

What about people that work 3rd Shift and are asleep at that time? They will never be able to reply within 2 hours.

mistium 10-27-2004 10:45 PM

Sounds great, kudane!

There is just tooo much to choose from, I love the Ratonga, but I don't do evil else I would have been able to be a Ratonga mage. Erudite mage or high elf priest - i think I may go with a fighter to begin with though, I found levelling a caster tough in the beginning in EQ1.....- ohh- I am so excited I really don't know - I think I'll just see what grabs me when I get there.

Serpentis 10-28-2004 05:41 AM

You can be any race/class combo that you want to be. Oh, and by the way... it won't be so hard to level a caster in this game. You can go from level 2-10 in 2 hours, and thats just by doing quests. After 10 you will have to do some lookin around... I have managed to get to 12 by just messin around, not doing any serious combat.... well...except for some Darkblade Fury's once...they were a pain. Anyway... so far I have found 11 quests just in the market area of Freeport, and there's plenty more to choose from. Only thing I don't like so far is that the quest journal has no way to delet unfinished quests..if you should decide you don't feel like doing a peticular one you started. (shrugs) eh.. other than that.... this game rocks!!!

thats not exactly accurate, and a bit of an exageration... I have tested this.. the SHORTEST amount of time i got from 2 to 10 was 12 hours 43mins(my ratunga brawler) the LONGEST was 23hrs 12mins. (that was earlier in beta). the amount of running around you have to do for your halmark quest alone prevents this time table, add in any difficulties finding parts for goblin quest on the island, etc.. PM me if you want to hear the break down (i took notes) of where my 12 hours went.

And BTW you can make your Ratunga good jtrenchard, just have to do the betrayal quest at 15 and move to qeynos. and then he is "good" But I have had 2 ratungas.. and FP is much nicer for them! wooot go evil!

hehehe

mistium 10-28-2004 07:58 AM

I'm not gonna try to level. Well, I am but I'll enjoy every aspect of the game. You know what I mean.

jtrenchard 10-28-2004 10:10 AM

Yes - I totally agree with that sentiment Mistium - I would like to find a nice balance between level progression and fulfilling my characters potential at each level with quests etc, I think it is the character/questing part of the game which distinguishes one player from another, doing a lot to build their persona.

Yea Im not sure, but I think last week's winners got their keys shortly after they were sent to SOE. No big deal though, its gonna be an interesting weekend nonetheless. Im thinking of picking up San Andreas though, just to tide me over til the key comes in.. but we'll see.

Vikan Karo 10-28-2004 06:44 PM

Shaeleene 10-28-2004 07:18 PM
