Just set up your last version, tested as much as I could /yawn. About the only thing NOT working still I can see, is the recipes in the extended Tradeskill window, other than that..everything seems to be working again, and in some cases, better :) All the bugs I saw earlier seem to be fixed very very well, you've outdone yourself yet again.

i made the new eq2.ini... with the no movie line even.. but when i load it it goes to the same ole eq2 given ui :(( pls help :(((

you need to install it in to your eq2\UI folder

using the .3 version of the UI, still having issues with the broker window, it shows my coin that i have on me as 9999p99999g99999s99999c. Also after I close the broker window zone go play whatever and come back to the broker I have to "clear it". Also sorts price from lowest to highest and I can not get it to save highest to lowest.

One peculiar issue I've been having is with chat windows. For some reason I have a couple extra ones floating around that i am unable to close. Clicking the 'x' in the upper right hand corner does nothing. They are really getting annoying so any help on how to close them would be much appreciated.

The nice feature of examing an item then clicking on the name in the item box to have broker window show all of those items on market is now broken as well. Please fix the broker window soon!

added .bak on end of my chars name...

i made shure on eq2 map it is loading this file and still does not work pls help....

Feature suggestion
 

Would be great to see a feature to switch between different quality settings in the game by a click on a button (say in the window where you've now included also the start menu button). Like raid mode, high performance mode, high quality mode and so on.

Would be great feature to be included in this profitui reborn :)

Assuming you have it installed under your UI directory, it should look like this:

cl_ui_subdir UI/


All the files should be in a folder named ProfitUI underneath your UI directory.

Click on the Infocenter button, then click on display settings. There are 4 presets to choose from, and I believe you can customize them. I personally haven't tried customizing any of them, but I think you can.

All you need to do is unzip or unrar the file to your everquest II folder. Do not create an .ini file there is already one included with the zip/rar. Overwrite your previous install of profit reborn one more time. After you install it again find a file named "servername_Thaset_eq2_uisetting" and rename it "servername_Thaset_eq2_uisetting.bak"

*servername is the name of your actual server you play on.

The reason you need to change the uisettings file is that this is where the instructions are on where your ingame windows will be placed. So now that the uisettings file is renamed just start the game and during the loadup it will ask you at some point to choose a resolution setting.


This goes to poochy.... I don't know if your very young or just too lazy to read instructions but DO NOT make a profitupdate folder. DO NOT copy and paste files... the zip just needs to be unzipped or unrar'd which is the format I prefer. Just unzip the file to the \sony\everquest II folder and you are done .. then rename your uisettings file as I just described above.... I 'm not trying to be mean here but you totally ignored what I wrote before.. trying to help you out, you just need to listen :D

Just a few comments to some open questions, sorry if I don't answer everyone for lack of time:

Thaset, you are most likely installing into the wrong folder. Extract the .zip into the main EQ2 folder (not the UI subfolder or any other folder). All files will automatically arrive at their correct locations. You can then start the game - no need to edit any files.

Kaz, hp/pwr regen is bugged by SOE, in combat both values show hp regen.

New version is available, I hope this addresses most remaining issues. Note that I'm not on a live US server, so I always lag behind on updates. I saw in the US update notes that the market window was yet again changed, but nothing substantial arrived on the Test Server at least.

Changelog 2.5.3 -> 2.5.4:
The war is over! In an earth shattering battle the smooth fonts faction did end up whining louder than the correct alignment faction, and the opportunist that I am, I betrayed to the winning team. ;)

All windows except for the experience window have been reverted back to smoothed fonts.

Clock window:
In preparation of Germany's soccer team winning the world cup 2006, the clock window has now got the most important Germany setting, mistitled in game as

"frame & titlebar". This setting will reposition the displayed time to a position so will (hopefully) display correctly when playing on German language

servers. In an effort to make this accessible to everyone, our time is still labeled "Earth" and not "Germany". :D
Thanks Taxor for linking me a post by Tinu where I found an example working on German servers. Let me know if this still needs tweaking, as I can't test it.

Market window

FIXED an issue where the top bar was hidden in certain configurations
* The window can now freely be expanded in all directions (as before, you can of course also minimize it to as little as the XP/stats bar)
Placement of large decimals adjusted
- Achievement decimals removed from large XP display as well

Player window:
FIXED clicking on implied target will now correctly select this target
* The effects panel should once again display correctly for everybody
* The "Frame and titlebar" setting now also controls the display of the label "Self"

Group window:
* The effects panel should once again display correctly for everybody

Chat window:
FIXED: the [x] button is working again and once again auto-hides

- Hiding the shortcut keys by setting frame to "none" did not save (and I found no way to make it save). Settings therefore changed to:

None / Frame only: no bank selectors, shortcut keys displayed according to frame opacity settings
Frame & titlebar: bank selectors displayed on mouse-over, shortcut keys displayed according to frame opacity settings

Only problem I've seen with 2.5.4 is that on the 1280x1024 setup, the bottom right bar (attack, mitigation, etc) is off the screen.

Great Update was curious if i can post a suggestion here was looking to see if possible where the target window is where it shows ur location be made visable instead of having to mouseover it or at least give ya the option to keep it visable at all times ?

Maintained spells issue?
 

The maintained spells do not show the name of the person they are on now, or am I missing something? Prior to the lu24 version, if I casted Carrion Bulwark (defiler ward) on a person it used to show their name and the name of the spell and the countdown timer as well, but no longer does that.... Any ideas?

It only shows the spell nameand the timer now....

Is it just me, or does the Hp and Power regen always stay at 90?

I always see the out of combat go up when I toss on FT items, but never the incombat.

Im a happy man again :)

HolyOutlaw and Findarato, those are SOE's bugs. In combat regen shows HP regen for both.

angelindisguise, sorry, I'm not sure I understand, are you saying that the current zone name under the clock is not always visible for you?

Today's update seemed to broke the broker window again (euro server).

heya i just downloaded this ui and it seems very nice.

However i can't find my pet bar anywhere so my question is how i can get it to show again?

ALT-P is the default keyboard shortcut. :)

I think this is an SOE issue, I noticed this happening on the live servers with the old version of Profit once LU24 went live, so looks like they broke something in LU24.

Thks again for your update m8 only little issue is on the bottom bar if i put mouse over on atk, mit, avoid etc doesn't compare tooltip but never mind.I want to ask at SoE to put this UI like default ^^.

No have u seen fetish's clock? the location of where u are the cords are always visable underneath the clock on your clock i have to hover over it to see them was curious if u can make it where its always visable .. i like to see my cords on the clock so i know where i am hehe at all times great for mapping stuff out when im at the location :)

start button woes
 

Ok can anyone help me here?

I love the profit ui alllll of it except the startbutton. I like mine to have the bags, and the autofollow and the raid button and the food/drink etc. So fine I could just download another start button UI but then I wouldnt have the nice button that this UI has that directs us to the "Show Profitui Control center" which I love.

So i either need to mod another start button to include that button OR is there a keyboard shortcut to that Profitui Control Center I could use? Then I can just instal another UI for the other stuff I want.

right now you can macro /show_window MainHUD.PCC to get the control center.

I always wanted to add a raid button but never got around to do it so far.

Btw, Autofollow buttons are on the group window already, and buttons for bags/drink/food will never be added. :)

Ok, I'm a noob, we don't have two-decimal XP, only a rounding error that was worse than I remembered. V2.6 is pulled, I put up v2.5.5 instead which is identical except for the XP window. If you got one of the 2.6 downloads, you can keep it for fun. :)

mattsmum, the command only works if you keep the <include> line for the control center in eq2ui_mainhud.xml. maybe you took that out? Otherwise you mistyped the command maybe.

No I haven't modified anything of yours yet I was waiting to get the macro line to work first.

And I copied and pasted from you directly.

So maybe i need to type it in?

Hopefully this is an easy fix. I'm not the most tech savy user.

I've loaded version 6.2 and seemed to have worked out the majority of my issues however I can no longer bring up a chat line. My chat window looks fine and I can read the scrolling chat but when I can't type anything myself.

If you have any advise I would certainly appreciate it.
