New hotkey with size slider that you can adjust by sliding the slider or entering a number.
Quick Log to character shot down window.
Lots of windows have been skinned.
Recoded the installer to check for eXtreme already being installed and the new directory structure.
All new UIsetting files too.. man what a PITA. Guess I had to do it if I hadn't of deleted them any way with the new hotkeys. Every setting offered has been tested.

NOTE: Add-on authors this will be the last LU update that will use the old styles. You will need to adjust the styles you use in you add-on/patch. You have a week min to get this done as I am sure I’ll be beating out bugs.

If you have eXtreme setup in a rez that isn't offered post a screen shot of the setup and the uisettings file and it just might make it into the next install :)

Broker window appears to work fine but the text isnt visual.. u can right click and examine but theres nothing visual there

Hmm for some reason trying to zone into my apartment.. i get immediate error, boot to desktop

Only issue I have found so far is when u go to camp to desktop it doesnt do anything. The Camp to Character select button works, but not the camp to desktop.

Both seem to be working fine for me.

What doesn't work is the Mail window. Won't show anything when the "Send" tab is clicked and wont close on the "X"....

Ok hate to be a noob, but I see that there is now a quicklog button as well on the camp screen, but, cant seem to find were to edit the buttons so that it says my toons names and actually camps me to them. Any ideas?

Oh and am having same issue as others when it comes to broker. Drop down works but displays no options, as well as fields actually being blank as well.

Under folder user_settings there are 10 files. One for each quicklog button. I opened each file using notepad and modified the first line of text as follow

LocalText="charactername" LocalTooltip="servername"

Modify each one for each toons seems to work for me.


Also I am having the same problems with merchant window and Camping to Desktop. Also one more question when I go to in tailoring mode and begin to make something a red bar appears at the top of the window ..does it have a purpose ?

Oaker is correct that is how you set the quick log. I though I made the installer open up a doc page on this but it was late and I prob didnt' uncomment it. :mad:

Sweet! Thanks for the assist with the Quick log :) I also was wondering what that red area is for on the tradeskill window hehe. Was actually able to find and fix the error with the Camp to Desktop button. If you go into ur eq2ui_mainhud_shutdown.xml file you should find a line (almost at top) that reads as follows :

<Button LocalText="Camp to Desktop" LocalTooltip="/camp desktop" Location="9,36" Name="CampToDesktop" OnPress="campdesktop" PackLocation="left,bottom"

Now, the area I have thats in bold (the OnPress="campdesktop") you will notice there is no space between camp and desktop. Add one, save file, and presto Camp to Desktop works :) All and all, GREAT UI. Thanks for all the effort you have put into it.


OH!! Almost forgot. When in battle I noticed that the mobs health only goes down like a quarter of the way then no longer decreases as you kill the mob. Works fine on the target window..am refering to the health/mana bars that pop up over mobs health when you have them targeted. Is this happening to everyone or do I per chance have something set up incorrectly?

i cant seem to find where it shows what spells are on your target. can anyone help me? i see what looks like it under the main button bar in the middle of the screen but that does not change with target. thanks

ok just tryed to uninstall the interface and it left my copy of EQ2 crashing to desktop or locking up going in to other chars that did not have the ui installed on them. i am trying to put the ui back in to see if i can get in to eq2 after. wish i knew more on how to edit the ui.ini files but they are not in plain text. is there a ui.ini editor or something? thanks

hi Landiin i love this Skin its awesome but i wonder why you changed the tradeskill window in the last few versions . the old one where it shows buffs hp and power was great, the new one is really plane and doesnt give the same info. however i noticed that you fixed the edit screen on the latest version which is super .

Ok compiled all the issues you all have posted and working on a fix now. Along with a bug in the uninstaller that wasn't removing some key files.

Skex, I'll get the TS window back to its former self soon. With the new style changes and the way SOE does it window tree I had to make another one from scratch.. The UI is far from being back to the way it onces was. I'll be adding stuff to the most used windows 1st and the TS window is one of them.

Store & Market Windows

Not sure if these were posted (I didn't see them) but the 'Store' window doesn't tell you how much you've made from sales and the 'Market' window doesn't show you a list of the items, what they go for and who's selling them, ALTHOUGH, if you click inside the window it WILL show you examining an item and how much it's being sold for. (And you know about the drop downs in the market window)

I'll see if I can make corrections while I wait for you're patches.

Also, I had no problem entering my room. I did a COMPLETE uninstall and then ran your installer and all my windows work great :D

I am getting the same problems with the health bars as well. turns yellow right off and only goes down a little bit and stays there till dead or full on health. also I dont see the new Factions setup that Sony set with all the numbers and stuff, this is still set the old way I think.

1920x1200 pic and settings
 

Well here is my 1920x1200 config. I had a few windows I really wanted to see all the time so I pulled them off the main chat window and moved them up so I can see them. This is a config to make the most out of the space. I know with 1920x1200 you have a lot of space to play with but I wanted to use it all! Oh yeah.. and I was working different facitons in Maj'Dul so I put the top left chat window with Faction hits..

Hope it works for some of you and remember to remove/change any of the custom chat windows to fit your own. And rename the uisettings file of course.

When uninstalling should there be a option to revert back to that last eq_uisettings.ini you had before installing extreme?

I think that would be a great idea. I meen u already have it worked into the installer to rename the original INI to a backup, why not have the uninstaller turn the backup back into the original.

lazersgm, how goes it? when is eq crashing on you? delete the eq2.ini from your everquest II folder if you are still having this issue and let me know. Your welcome to PM if you can't get you eq going. Sorry your having this issue, I can't think of why its doing it though but will be glad to assist you on it.

reverting wouldn't be bad, man... though anyone who keeps up on UI's prolly has backups of everything, due to SOE bugs, etc.

Speaking of Bugs... Logged on, tried to go into my house, kicked to desktop. Waited the 3 min or whatever, tried again, boom. then i went and deleted the eq2ui_playerhousing.xml file, and haven't been kicked since. only been online for like 15 min since, so, not sure if it's something else, but, might wanna look into that.

Also to note, the crash bug entering/exiting house only happens when you double click door , or at least for me.
When you right click just once and use enter, it will not crash.
Hope that helps track it down.

Hello All,

Landiin will be uploading a fix. He was working on the crashing problem most of the night and I was speaking to him earlier and the fix works :D I've tried it.

He said he should be uploading it early this morning so be patient... it's on it's way :cool:

This is the best UI i have ever tried, and i have tried some in my gaming time. The installer works perfect, and in the game its just GREAT.

Same problem here. I also have the crash to desktop when trying to enter my room as well...

ok.. after a 30 mins of testing I got the new version running.. so some things I found bugged

1. still found no way to move the health HUD.. its still in the left upper corner cant move it.. unlock dont work..

2. no text in the broker window... the pulldown menues opens but no text is displayed.. althoug no listet items are visible

3. I cant remove the icon bank scroll arrows.. in the old version I set the borde/title to none and they vanished.

4. entering room crashed to desktop.. (mentions in posting before)

5. the scroll arrows for moving left and right throught the different text windows are still not work probably. If you scroll to the most right text and click in it you cant get back to the most left using the move left arrow. Scrolling stops a few windows before and the arrow left goes to disabled


but still good work this UI.. kep on the good work..

I have a lil problem that has been ongoing. It only happens when I change characters. The target health and my health windows don't seem to work right. Note the solid color of window. Have not tried clean install of ui. If I change characters I now just log out totally to correct this.

Also am I missing something in journal...no writ tab ... miss that very much

This is an SOE problem, when you experiece it you should /bug it EVERYTIME then SOE might fix it.

Hmmm, cant seem to get the updated version. When I go into the Downloads>Completed section, Extreme UI is not listed. But if I do a search for it, it shows up as new, I click on it, and it tells me I am not authorized to view that file. Any suggestions?

Same here.. your whole thread is gone. Shows you updated last.. but on Serenity UI when you click on your last update.

cant get to the download page for the latest update....keep getting "You are not authorized to view this page"

They don't in my setup and actually it is a pain to "examine" everything, espcially when you've been harvesting....
