okie landiin good luck with lu15 any idea what there doing this time and when its coming out???

A ton of windows has changed but it's just mostly the way the configure the frames of the windows. There are other parts they have changed but for the most part I have it set up to just cut and paste :) I R smart and mirrored SOE's syle sheets with my own styles. So it shouldn't be a great deal but a big deal never the lest.

I have no idea when they will push it to live.. Hope fully after I get a chance to change and test it on test lol..

guild logo troubles
 

ok i designed otu guild logo for use with this or any other ui... it happens to be square. 512x512 pixels to be exact according to image size in photoshop.

my problem is this: when you first log in to the game before you even load a character or go to the char select screen, you get all those splash screens. one of them shows the guild logo. mine stretches slightly horizontally. is there any way to fix that in the xml file? if i can figure that out, i can edit all the other xml files that show the guild logo as well.

i could also use a list of all the files that use the guild logo. i do not like to use ui builder as i cant wrap my head around it, but i CAN manually edit xml files. if i had a list of all the files, and how to get it to load one of the mip maps if/when needed, it would be awesome. i can provide the guild logo psd if needed but here in the mean time, i have attatched the dds im using. right now my eq2ui_loginscene.xml file has been edited to 512x512 for the sourcerect option. i cant seem to find any other mention of it in the xml files but i havent waded thru all that code yet. it would be helpful if someone could either get this straightened out for me, or send me a text file explaining all the changes necessary to the relevant files.

cannot sell or use merchants
 

hello, scince the update today, i cannot seem to access any merchants to sell or repair..this is a huge problem..lol..please advise

hmmm I myself have buyed and solded stuff today, on broker and merchants, with no problems, I havent tried repairing today.

Only thing I see is the missing guild MotD, but that was missing yesterday before the patch.

For the most part Extreme UI has worked extremely well today.

Download the current hotfix and apply it and it will fix it.

Its in the addon on the extreme download page.

I moved the motd:P Its now in the lower left corner of the guild window.. I R sneaky. I'll move it back up top later, just was testing it out there lol.

Hi im new to interfaces with eq2 and i really enjoy your ui yet im having some problems.
-There are windows that are just completly black like where my name is and health,power etc
-There are windows overlapping each other and i am unable to move them, i would unlock them but the Eq2 button is gone so i can't get into option.
- Also i cant right click on anything ?? i can right click to change my view but when i right click on a window or npc nothing happens. I switched back to default ui and everything worked fine
- I installed this using your installer and play with uiswitcher.exe utility thanks

i see in the ui that you have a mp3 player..... is it supposed to work? it doesnt for me and i cant for the life of me figure out why. some of the buttons do different game functions such as one button does /wave and things like that. would be nice if it worked, or at the very least, controlled a commandline mp3 player that ran in the background; something small.

Actually it does work but you need to be using CSM. It wasn't working until recently due to CSM making lots of changes to their command structure but things have been fixed recently, not sure if Lindiin has included the fixes in his latest release or not but if not Skyetala posted one here.

Since LU15, the "Find Players" tab of the "Community" window is not working properly. I am able to check/uncheck the various boxes, but not able to set many of the parameters associated with those boxes (that is, specify race, alignment, or class). I am able to use this window to specify name. Please note that I am using hotfix 14e. Thanks in advance for fixing this.

Hmm sounds like you installed over an older copy of eXtreme and some of the files didn't get overwriten or somthing. You need to downlaod the most current extreme. Uninstall the one you are using now. Run the installer and install into your everquest2 folder. Download the the most current patch/hotfix and extract it int ui/extreme and make it overwrite all files.

Windows that are just all black tells me your missing files and mainly the stylesfile or you installed some other mod window and it overwrote one, thus being not compatable with extreme.

Love the UI, looks and feels great, did wonders for me and all the hotbars i had open. Only thing i have is a little feedback, i use the smallest (i think, belive its 12xx by 1024? not at home atm so not sure) setting and it works fine except for one thing. When crafting the experience as a percent( top left, second "window" down, the number under the bar) the decimal gets cut in half, makes it hard to see.
Example 86.8% the 8 would only show the right half, making me wonder if 8 or 3.

Somethign to add to this the main top left window, that you can click to show xp in percentage in big numbers, only shows adventure xp. (would be nice for it to be adventure or crafting).

Yea I know and it does bug me also. I just don't have much time to tweek stuff. Once I hit 60 and can back off a bit I'll get to cracking but for now I am just hitting the things that are really broke.

hey.. nice ui.. however one comment if you dont mind..

the installer is prolly great for those that arent comfortable putting in a ui for themselves. .but some of us really would love to have a zip file that we can do ourselves.. having a program just hijack my ui settings really sucks imo :(

There not jacked at all. It tells you it backs it up for later use or what ever. It prefixs your old ui setting with back_ you also had the option to use your own /shrug.

While your busy working on the changes that happened with LU15 I'm going to show you a bug thats been around for a while now but just now getting around to showing you.

Its a minor graphical bug and is mainly cosmetic though it can be hard to see at times.

Its any of the dropdown menu's and I've added a shot from the Persona window
It seems the background got offset a bit and is doing some funky things. with the drop down menu down you can see the area I marked in red and drew an arrow to the the normal state of the menus.

Maybe this is a quick fix while you happen to be working on something .. if not like I said no biggie :)


Now on another subject .. is it just me or is it the UI or sony but when I log in or zone .. when I right click I freeze for a good 10-15 seconds before the menu pops up .. and I mean freeze .. solid .. I hear the hd grind like crazy .. then it all goes back to normal and doesn't do it again till I zone or log back in
Anyone else get this? Any fix??

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I tried to read all 17 pages and almost fell asleep :p I tried to skim through but alas I may have missed it.

Anyway, i'm having some minor and some major problems with this UI. The minor problems is that it doesn't seem to really work right at 1280x1024? Somethings just seem cutoff, or not set right.

The major problem is that the little arrows that let you scroll the chat tabs left and right keep breaking on me. For example i'll scroll all the way to the right then the left scroll will greyt out and i'm stuck unable to scroll back to the other tabs!

Exact same problem here... I wouldn't have bothered putting this in, but I didn't see any response to MacDaddy's inquiry. Of course, I can still do a /whoall lfg 45 50 but it's easier with boxes to check and what not. I know you've been busy and I really appreciate your hard work.
Outside of that and the thing Raesoth mentioned, everything works great, and I REALLY love this UI !!!

Yes sadly the ui doesn't suit 1280x1024 well as it was designed for 1400x1200+, The ui file suplied does do a fairly well job and placing windows but you may need to move some windows to suit your style.

The chat window tab button bug is a SOE bug and there is not a thing I can do about it, sorry:(

I have another bug. I'm not quite sure when this one cropped up, but the compass is now impropoerly callibrated. When you are facing north, the compass shows northwest or something.

Oh I have also a little problem with your UI.
But thats not really a problem :)

I like your UI but I'm a german and your new/own fonts for the character name and at the connect window the zone names, don't supported german letters like: äöüß
I become only a square for this letters... if you have the time, then fix it please ;)

Let me first say that this is an AWESOME UI.

Have one concern, the search window for other players is a little bugged.
We can chose class and race right now after last update.
Just a small bug.
