One question though - is there a way for the clock to show in-game time rather than real time as default?

Only with editing my clock file. I may design a new clock today... :)

First i want to say. Thanks for a really great UI. :D

I Have a little problem with all skill infos. When i have the mouse over a skill i just see the icon and some dots. No text at all.

What is the problem? I'm using res 1024x768 and the 1024x768 hotbar.

make sure you read the install instructions, specifically the one about starting with an empty folder. that will fix your problem

This is a side-effect of not removing previous version - you MUST delete any previous Profit UI.

I did. :/ I made a new UI folder. Then it worked. :P

custom maps
 

I appear to be having a problem with the custom maps not installing, I reran the updater and made sure the Ui directory was set to the rigth folder but still no customs maps is there a way to fix this or did i do something wrong?

I would not think this is a problem with the UI. I too have problems updating at work - where I use the default UI.

I will say again, as much as I like the work tht has been done by Taco, Laffs, and Zonx. Your UI fits to what I have been looking for in an UI. Don't let stupid people get to you, as any modder knows...if feels as you jumped into a sauna at first; but really is the North Atlantic. Don't give up, it seems there are many to help you bare the seas. *Looks at his boots* Damn I really am turning into a swashbuckler.

Hi there and thanks again...

I've got a couple small problems...I did remove the Profit folder inside the UI folder. I presume that was all the removal needed before installing 1.7c

However, upon loading, I have 2 (sword, ring, ring, etc, manastone bar)s ... one is in its correct place, and the other is floating with the same window settings as the bottom one...the floating one is next to the Maintained spells display window.

2nd, The red msg Your Inventory is yada yada yada is always on, on my screen. Its also sized incorrectly I think since I cannot read the entire text, just Your Inventory is....

How do I fix these?

All I can suggest is deleting folder, installing 1.7c and use one of the uisetting files.

Great UI profit - I have made it work at 1920x1200 (24" widescreen resolution)

I will be posting a ini for that later however.....

Steps to making Profit UI work at a higher resolution.

Download EQ2maps
Install

Boot up EQ, set resolution to 1280x1024 (regardless if it looks funny or stretches)

Download 1.7c
Copy directory over
Extract 1280x1024 resolution.ini zip
copy resolution.ini over to whateverserver_charactername_ etc etc

Boot EQ and make sure Profit UI working
Change resolution to whatever size you normally have (ie 1680x1024, 1440xwhatever, 1920x1600)
Resize windows

Viola

Awesome Profit. 1.7c is the bomb. Everything working and where I want it. EQ2 and DoF are 100% better with this UI.

Holy smokes bro, your UI is by far the best that I have ever seen. still trying to get the xp font not to clip the very left portion off, but that is small issue that I am most likely not setting up correctly. Will read through the post here and hopefully figure it out.

1.7c is working like a charm after a clean install, but the clock isn't anywhere to be found. Any idea how I can get it back up?

I have just spent 4 hours and 2 complete remove / re-install trying to solve this sudden game crash problem. Profit how do you cope when you have idiots like me using your UI?

Post DoF / combat revamp I should have realised that I would need to at least check these forums for some mention of LU X compatability. I am a spanner.

I think I may take 2 mins of my time to install 1.7 - thank you still for saving me so much space / giving 5 hot key bars...... I'll post questions about the tradeskill window when I have an IQ of more that 35

Hey Profit.

I'm no newb when it comes to UIs, and I can usually figure out myself what the problem is with a UI. However, this one has got me stumped...

Today I tried that "master ui file" thing I heard about yesterday, and that works great. I go through setting up the whole UI, and everything works fine. However, when I go to change the chat options, it just crashes.

It freezes up, and I can't even get an error out of it. It's like it's reading the file for the chat options for a long time. I haven't actually had it play out for more than a few minutes because I figure it just didn't like it.

I can add tabs, and I can do all that stuff, but once I try to change the chat options, it just freezes.

Not sure what is causing this, and I can't get an error from it, so I can't help you out there. I have some other mods, but they're the same as last night and my game was running flawlessly last night. It's a very strange error that I can't seem to put my finger on; mostly because you guys don't modify the chat options window. In the meantime, I'm gonna try a different chat window. If you have anything you want me to try for you, let me know and I'll give it a shot.

UPDATE: I just tried it with a different chat bar, and it still didn't work. It's probably not your UI. I'll see if I can do it with the default and get it to work, and then work from there. You can disregard this post.

I have a problem with my implied target area all the text is shifted to the right and not centered in the box. I have done a fresh install of "c" release.
any ideas?

I think my uisetting file has this window shifted to the right - just unlock it and move it!
