Love this UI , and the Laffs addon, but I'm having a problem with the hotkeys and anything that has text when you mouseover.
I think I'm missing a font or something, all of the text is missing? Any idea what this is about? |
SoE has been changing so much stuff as of late I have left this and the other version till last to update... As you seem to fix somthing then they break it 1-2 days later... I will get this updated in next few day guys along with the others
|
this getting patched for 11.9.05 ?
|
Yes eventualy... as it shares some common elements with the other UI's and once they is working correctly its easy to change them to work with this one...well normaly it is..
|
so far i've just fixed the glaringly broken things... like newcharscreen and the windows for the market and merchant.
|
so is this UI abandoned?
|
No its not abandoned !
Just last on my update list thats all .... as far as I know its all working atm ... apart from the effects in the target windows .. but they only work on page V1 (simple) atm .... and I think that is about it mate ... Update to follow ;) |
i just wish i could get the eq2map window acting right. i've deleted all these images so it uses defaults, deleted xmls that arent altered ... done everything i can think of. i love this UI to death, i've even made my own background for it. I tried laffs_lite but i dont like the xp bar textures. used UIBuilder to try and change it and it mauled the code.
/mourns the loss of her map window. |
Lol....
This UI and none of the others I have actualy have a modded map window! As like myself I anticipate all my users to just use the eq2 map mod... So if you got problems with your map hun its nothing to do with this UI... Just use the map updater program and point it to PERDV8 folder and it will do the work from there.. install all the maps and the map window itself... granted the map window background will be different to the rest of the UI probably but, Hey its a map and its details are correct lol ;) If you still having problems after doing that, gimmie a shout via pm and I try and sort it for you..... But could you please just delete the contents of your PERDV8 folder 1st ! .... then just place the latest files in the download section in there thanks.. :) Like I say this UI is not dead its more of a shrine to the work of Perdition, Nothing will be added to it, Just the core elements that make the UI work .. Hence effects in the target windows they are a core part of any UI now so they have to be added to this UI soon to keep it maintained ;) |
1440x900 resolution

Was this ever released in 1440x900 resolution? I use the UI on my desktop just fine in 1280x1024, but I recently purchased a new laptop that has 1440x900 resolution and I can't seem to find one that will work in that rez. If no one has requested it, I'm humbly requesting it now |
Sorry but that rez is well outa my range at the moment =(
I could make the windows stretch etc but that will cause much problems elsewhere... so basicly sorry no can do :( |
just a slight "bump" to this thread...
I hear there is chat box and target issues? is this still the case? Wasnt sure how many peeps if any were still using this UI its all been very silent for a long time now.. :) |
Greyed out Chat Box and Target Windows
I'm still having issues with the Chat windows and the target windows showing as a solid grey instead of the darker marbled color? Makes it difficult to read text.
I have screen shots of it, but unfortunately I don't know how to attach it. Any fixes? Thanks Tykster |
I had a quick look at the mostly likely cause for this is the code and all apears to be fine...
Only other thing I can put it down to offhand is for you to make sure you have the file called "perdigraphics.dds" located in a sub folder called "images" within the PerdV8 folder itself.. Please confirm if this is the case or not thanks. |

perdigraphics.dds is in the folder. Here is a screenshot for referance of the issue.

Dea.. I dont have a map window.. so best you delete the map window you may well have in the PERDV8 folder and let eq2 map mod re-download it if your useing that.
Try unziping and dropping those files into the PERDV8 folder guys.. |
Those files didn't do anything one way or the other. The effort is appreciated though.
|
Hmm shame they didnt do anything for you... But least I now know what versions you have so I can investigate further :p
See what I been doing is since all 3 UI's are basicly the same I been making a common settings file so to speak so all I have to do is update 1 window insted of 3 each time.. Expect a fix in the downloads section tonight soon as I get all my work done. |

Good times.... Good times  |
Okies ... I still didnt manage to get the grey backgrounds problem... But noticed a few other things that related to the imagelist files and also a slight problem in the "z" order with somthing else... So hoping thi swill cure the problem you have as well.
Result is files changed and some removed... So you WILL need to delete the old folder contents first ! |
