I'm having an issue after the GU released inspecting soul traps, on the basic UI there is a slider bar that you can preview the full stats but on the inspect window now it just shows +1 to all stats on all of them.

Also for some reason my group options keep resetting to blank (no choices selected) when i form a group as leader, and when I zone with a group the members all show me still in the previous zone (greyed out so to speak) and none of them are in my group window. If i /leave group they cannot reinvite me because it says im still in a group and i cannot rejoin until I invite someone else and /disband.

So basically I have to drop group and zone, invite someone else and disband and then rejoin the group every time we change zones.

Make sure you update then, because there's a new version with an updated Item Inspect window.

As per the group options, sounds like SOE bug, no idea. Haven't heard of the issue.

nvm thnx for the reply, renamed the examine and it works now.

For some reason when I log in I get "R12 could not be found in your group or raid" over and over and over. Any ideas?

Inventory Search questions
 

Good morning and thank you for the outstanding work you have put into this over the years!!

I noticed the other day after the hot fix that my inventory search ability has poofed. I don't see it in my Character screen in the usual spot. I never thought about it till I need to find something :eek:

I have the latest automatic downloader and did it again this morning to make sure I was up to date, all files were up to date.

Any suggestions?

Would it be possible to add pet affinity in the pet window or warder tab when using a Beastlord? There is one UI mod out there with it by Pooka, but I much prefer this setup and having only one mod to watch and maintain.

Cures in group window for nonhealers bugged?
 

Necromancers are now able to cure anything but curses. However, like the paladin they get a strange message from the cure icons in the group window: "Only while crafting". Is there a fix/workaround for this?

I hotbar my pally cure (which is still only elemental/noxious/arcane *rage*), and it works fine, for what that's worth. So self-curing and curing a targetted group member work perfectly. Unless it resists, lol.

Help uninstall or delete
 

:confused:I seem to be having a problem that I cant resolve regardless of what I have read. So to start over again, how do you delete what I have and start fresh?:mad:

i have not been able to get click to cure to work for mages now that we can cure all detriments. also a not so important but long time problem, i cannot click and cancel a repair bot like other buffs.

Right now I have about 5 DrumsUI folders and 4 or 5 UI folders just trying to get the UI to work with the edited files. The UIs within UIs are the worst. I did back up my EQ2 directory but it was already FUBARed before I did it. I've lost data somewhere and my pc hangs at the most critical times.

Time to reset my laptop to factory settings, and see if something else is terribly wrong and not the game. My question is: if I just uninstall the game rather than reset my laptop to factory settings, is there anything hidden that might perpetuate the UIs from hell?

Sweet Drum, this is not a bashing of your wonderful UI. If it were, I wouldn't be trying so hard to make it work. I love this UI and I appreciate your gift to all of us. I'm just my own worst enemy when it comes to installing UIs and editing files. I'll be back!

All it should take to get rid of a messed-up custom UI folder is to delete the UI folder itself, delete your UI settings files (*_eq2_uisettings.xml), edit eq2.ini and change cl_ui_skinname to Default (or remove it entirely) and edit eq2_recent.ini and remove any cl_ui_skinname entries you find. Run the patcher and it should re-download the default UI files giving you a clean UI folder. Doing a Validate Game Assets from the launchpad options should clean up any other corruption if the game's still giving you problems with the default UI. You do, of course, lose all your UI layouts doing this, but it guarantees you start with a clean default UI and layout.

In the worst case you can uninstall, delete the game install folder and anything left in it if the uninstall didn't completely delete it, and re-download the full game launchpad installer and reinstall. It should be possible to clear everything but the launchpad files from your game folder and let your existing launchpad re-download everything, but I'd have to poke around to see what needs to be left for the LP to function.

A few things I noticed when I was comparing EQ2 default (red) image files with the DrumsUI replacements (some were like this before the GU today):

• 2 icons are missing in icon_map5
• rounded square icon (gold border, green interior with !) is missing in commonelements.dds - used in AA window as a notification that you have points etc to spend
• smaller winged icons in window_elements_specific.dds - part of the 'repair for SC' icon set; they replace the boots with wings
• female freeblood missing in mugshots_female.dds

I fixed these for myself locally, but figured you'd like to know in case you want to adjust them for the official downloads.

You know... I remember adding some of those in. I think I copied an old version over along the way, and never noticed :(

I'll fix soon as I can check. It's annoying to update 6 files for 12 versions :mad:

Can't click on hotkeys
 

Hello, I'm a returning player and new user of Drums UI. So far, I love it! I used to use ProfitUI as a healer and enjoyed that a great deal; I must say that your click to cure is great and I like the uncluttered look of the UI.

I can't click on my hotkeys to cast any spells, however. How can I fix this? I've worked on this for the past hour and am at a loss. I can use the keyboard to access my first three rows of hotkeys, but my mouse absolutely is not working on the hotkeys. Please help me so I can play! hah!

Do you mean your normal hotbars? I'm not sure why that would happen. Perhaps there is a window blocking them? Try hitting F10 to cycle the UI into the Move window mode and see if you can move anything around.

Apparently it was some kind of a glitch; after I camped out and back in, the problem resolved itself.

NPC cast bar
 

Tried searching this forum but not really seeing what I am looking for. Decided to try DrumsUI after using Profit for a few years. So far I like the ease with which I can customize the raid buttons on the fly, builtin spell timer window etc. I see the target casting window inside of the target window. But I am curious if there is a way to move the cast bar elsewhere on the screen and resize it. I cannot seen to get the mouse over it fast enough to try grabbing it. My eyes just cannot look up there fast enough to see it when I am looking at my spell bars.

Maybe my only option here is that addon? casting window. I have a faint memory of adding it to profit and using a macro to enable it.

Open the DrumsUI Main Menu from the Stat bar.

There's a button to show the Casting Bar. You can move it/resize/and change the window settings via the right click menu.

Trying to Edit XML file
 

I was updating the rares list to include items that are listed as fables and I dont know what tier code that is. I got the list made but I just hacked the file to add the 9 items. I see that the rare are treasured items and I see that's tier 3.So right now when i pick something I added it show name but I have to change type to fable then it works. Be great to know the whole tier list in case its needed in the future. Also I would like to know what the mod makers are using so I can check it out and maybe make a mod of my own.

Will try to look at it. I just moved this weekend and I'm still getting situated and what not, so I'm a bit busy this week. Relaxin in my downtime!

Having an issue with the experience bar. Everytime I log out of EQ2 it goes back to the same place no matter where I move it to.

I am trying to put it in the lower left hand corner but it never stays there.

Please help.

Mercemary Window in Beta
 

Is there a way to get the mercenary window to work in Beta? Also, tracking isn't working in Beta either.

I won't have beta filles updated most likely until the night before everything goes live. I don't have the time to keep up with various changes, so I'm gonna be making a full sweep the night before.
