I like the idea. It would be nice to make it a bit quicker visual reference.

How does the flag effect the buffs / debuffs? I'd be interested to see a screen shot of an epic mob with the buffs.

3. Currently not possible. As Pixi said, you can delete the eq2ui_inventory_bag.xml from your ProfitUI directory to get the bags from the Default UI, which are bigger.

4. That's no bug, but I agree that the useabiltiy could be improved. There are pro's and con's to resetting the list once you select something, though. Not sure what I'll do yet.

5. The raid window displays the raid members (only if you're in a raid, of course). The background opacity can be changed via the window settings.

6. If you can't type in a chat window, set window settings to "frame & titlebar".

7. Right click and unlock hotbars first to resize them. As Pixi said, clickthrough might also be a problem (I don't know how the default 1600x1200 is set up).

8. As Pixi said, delete eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml from your ProfitUI directory.

9. You can leave the group by moving the mouse over your row in the group window and clicking on the [x] that will appear. Clicking on the [x] in a group member's row will kick that group member from the group if you are the leader. That being said, I'll check the right click functionality of the group window and fix it if necessary.


Btw, it's nearly 2:30 a.m. here and I'm still at work... work on ProfitUI will resume once my time-table allows for it again. Thanks for your patience.
As always, feel free to post any fixes or improvements that you come up with in the meantime.

Anyone know what file (and what values) I need to edit in order to change the default position of the Loot Window and the Confirmation Window? Or is there any way to make them stay where I put them?

As it is now they always reset to the same position regardless of whether I move them or not. :confused:

The epic indicator idea is noted. As stated by lollygagger, the flag would hide the target effects, but I suppose I could add an indicator above the health bar left and right of the level.

Should be eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml and eq2ui_hub_choice.xml.

The values are Location and PackLocation. However, I suppose that the centering is hardcoded. You should be able to use OnShow events to move it to the position where you want it to be, although this can be tricky.

I'm curious how to move the player target window. (bars in the middle, bottom of screen that show your target and the implied target) I clicked all around and don't see any way to unlock it or get it to move. I like to add a 5th hotbar and just want to drag the player target window up a bit to make it all fit. Sorry if this has been answered, I've been looking around the forums and may have missed the solution.

Great UI, been using it since day 1 and appreciate everyone stepping up to keep the updates coming.

Right click and chose Window Settings. Make sure the box named "Click through enabled" is unticked. Make sure it's not locked too, of course. Once you've sorted that you should be able to move it by putting your mouse over the target bar (the middle one) and click/drag. You can grab the window elsewhere too but that's a nice big area that allows grabbing. If that doesn't work, make sure there are no other windows lying "over" the target window - like the bottom bar with the background stretched out and at 100% transparency or something.

In the default UI, when mentoring someone, if they weren't in the same zone as you then you still had the ability to quit mentoring without leaving the group by right-clicking your own name and choosing the "stop mentoring" option. I am unable to do this when using ProfitUI 2.4.1. Am I missing some other way to do this?

My problem is when I log back online and I have something that sold I get the money sound but my chat window is not there so I hit / to bring it up but then it does not show what was bought

just started to make the final push to 70 crafter and love the new crafting window outside of one thing. the item name during the crafting process actually covers the green progress bar. usually this would be no problem but when trying to craft up armor orders i really want to pay attention to how the progress is going at each stage.

is there a way to adjust the area for names so that it will not cover up the progress on the green bar at each stage? I have tried resizing the window but it seems it will not change.

Hope you can change this/fix. Huge thanks for any help on this.

I didn't like this either so I went back to an older version of the Z Tradeskill window. =/

Great UI I love it, Heres my bug.

When in group you cannot target yourself or bring up a menu when clicking on yourself in the group window.

I have the latest version of ProfitUI and downloaded the fix for the buffs section. But the group window still seems bugged. thx in advance.

That's basically whats causing the problem I have with mentoring reported above. Would be good to hear if there is a way round this.

You can do this by right-clicking your name on the self/target/implied target bar instead of on the group window. Takes a bit of getting used to at first.

Hey bro,

I love the UI. On the newest versions I have not been able to move the "self=>target=>assist" bar anymore. I love the UI, but move and rearrange a lot of stuff for my class. Is there a simple way that I can move this bar? It no longer lets you right click it. :)

So my feedback would be to not take out the ability to move, and then again I may just not know how to go about moveing it.

Obviously still needs some adjusting of the positions of the elements. This implementation fits in the current size of the target window and debuffs stay where they are. Implied target window would be the same, only with the raid flag to the left. What do you think?

Venger & DDH|Matrix, the right click menues are provided by SOE only for specific windows. The one you are talking about is only provided for the player window (see response by RainQueen96). As you will recall, the default UI doesn't even list yourself in the group window. Nothing I can do about this, sorry. And DDH|Matrix, the latest version is 2.4.1 and there is no hotfix for this version (see my sig for a download link).

EDITED to add: I can of course add the option to target yourself if you click yourself in the group window.

Xterm, the issue with the chat window being invisble at startup seems to be on SOEs side. However, the chat should still be there once you hit /. Maybe you disabled the "loot" chat messages? In the default .ini I provide this shows in the "Char" tab.

labrat & Pixi, could you one of you please post a screenshot of the issue you have with the tradeskill window? Obviously everything looks fine on my machine (see screenshot on main thread). These placement issues some of you have really elude me... :(

Purg, may I refer you to Pixi's excellent answer to the same question a few posts above you (#491)?

I've still got very few free time atm but hopes of it getting better. It appears LU24 will require a big update for the changed market window and some other windows. I hope to get it out on time. There will be no new release before that.

I noticed that for PvP there's apparently an immunity bar which was not yet modded. I've quickly brought this in line with the ProfitUI theme, although I coloured it red to fit the topic:


In case someone wants to test this (I don't play on a PvP server), I attach it below. Let me know if it works.

There's nothing wrong, as such, with the tradeskill window. Just that the name of the item you're making sometimes covers the progress bars. I always prefered the long progress bars one under the other like so:


1 ---------------
2 ---------------
3 ---------------
4 ---------------

With this layout the item name (if long enough) usually end up on two rows and then the text goes over the bars:

1 ------ 2 ------
3 ------ 4 ------


So it's not a "bug" per se, more of an inconvenience hehe. :)

back what pixi has just said, its totally not a bug and I love the crafting UI, outside of the longer crafted names covering the progress bar.

wish i knew how to really do things as I would just move the name text box away form the progress bar. I realize this increases realestate of the crafting window but on important special orders I would just feel better about it.

Thanks for the quick reply you two. I'm probably a bit dense tonight but are you sure you are talking about my tradeskill UI? I do have the bars arranged one under the other, thus I don't understand Pixi's drawing.

I attach a screenshot with a very long item name (taken from the editor but it's the same in game) and to me this looks just fine? :confused:

But, how about add separate LVL indicator.
DragowulfUI's Target Windows have separate LVL indicator and show target LVL even Anonymous and/or Roleplaying.
I think opposite side to raid flag(left upper corner to target and right upper corner to implied) is proper.

Has anyone made a HORIZONTAL GROUP window? I like the group window I would just like to see an horizontal option. I'm working on it now but it's very hard to test because I have to load EQ each time ><. If someone already did it, let me know.

Horizontal Group window is included in all releases
 
Look for horizontal.eq2ui_mainhud_groupmembers.xml

and rename it eq2ui_mainhud_groupmembers.xml

There's also a compact option available. All the files are located in the UI/ProfitUI directory.

I am trying to remove the Profit UI and I believe I have succeeded until I attempt to update my eq2map and it downloads/updates for profit. I do love this UI but my hot bars seem to switch to different ones and im not sure why or how to fix so Im going back to stock UI. Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of profit all together and get my eq2map working correctly? Thanks in advance.

Make sure EQ2Map is installed in it's own folder in your UI directory (e.g. not inside the Profit folder) and then change the eq2.ini to reflect the EQ2Map folder. That should reset your UI to default while still having access to EQ2Map.

The update software reads the eq2.ini so if it still points to Profit it will continue to update the installation that resides within the Profit folder.

So, if you install EQ2Map in Everquest II\UI\EQ2Map make sure eq2.ini looks like so:

cl_ui_skinname EQ2Map
cl_ui_subdir UI/

If that doesn't then I'm not sure what might be wrong.
