Tobiha, please clarify. What assist thing/color do you not like?
Volondil, if you don't want to see the extra location/mob markers on the map you can revert to the default map by deleting eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml from your Fetish directory. This will restore the default main map but should still allow MiniMap to load fogless maps. Just don't run the EQ2MAP updater again or it will download another copy of its map window. |
Zonx - that file in the other thread fixed it perfectly - just DL the file, unzxip it, rename your current char ini, then rename this to what the old char ini was.

Add-on pet window..

My main is a necro, and the fetish pet window was the only thing about this surperb UI that I didn't like. So I customized myown to match the target window. The screenie shows the pet window next to the target window. I uploaded it for approval under the add-on section under the main UI download.

Well love the ui but something that anoys me is that if i tries to heal a group member or target its easy to click on the name bar witch again turns attack on and i get the assist of the member i am trying to target. On fast healing fights its hard click the gauge
Hard to explaine ;) |

I do not have Photoshop or PSP. I found a utility (irfan) that nicely converts to .bmp which I can edit in paint. Now I just need a way to get it back to .dds. Or one utility that converts both ways. I found 60 day trial of photoshop pro. |

you can use that with photoshop, as i recall you can use it with paint shop pro as well. |

Or just use F1-F6 for targetting. |

dds customization problem

Ok. I've gone through it twice. I tried the first time in paint, and could not get a .dds file created from my .bmp. So I downloaded paintshop pro and did it all again.
I changed AVRG to AVG. I changed the two sets of exp bubbles from 5 groups of 4 to four groups of five. I replaced the existing widgets file with the new one. I loaded eq2. I see no difference. What did I do wrong? |
As I suspected, you edited the image layer just fine, but didn't change the alpha layer to match. The Alpha layer controls transparency, so you're repositioned longer ticks are getting cropped by the alpha layer ;)

The same Pallet that has the Layers Tab also has a CHannels Tab, click that and you should see the Alpha layer at the bottom, bellow the RGB, Red, Blue and Green channels.
Alpha is usually greyscale. Black = fully transparent. White = fully opaque. Grey levels inbetween = percentages of transparency, so 50% black = 50% transparent ;) |

The left image is Nightfall with Goth theme (blue text and selection highlights). The right image is Classic with Goth theme (Gold text with tan selection highlights). The hard-coded differences between the 2 motifs is prety subtle ;) The final Classic Goth may look a little different. Thinking I might introduce a bit more of the tan. I'll probably wind up doing another pair of these with all the siver elements changed to gold. |
Subtle is definitely the word for it... I can see it now, though. :D

map loading problem
Here's a problem I'm having, and I'm not sure whether it's an eq2map issue, or a UI issue, or a little bit of both.
Frequently, when zoning into a new zone, the first time I hit "M" the correct map comes up. If I take map down and then back up, it will sometimes show the PoI's over the last zone map image I was in. For example, if I'm in Nek with the map up, zone into EL, and take the map up and down once, I'll see EL PoI's over an image of Nek. Is this common? or what am I doing wrong? |
Except for a rare issue in zones that use mutiple maps, 3.4 should resolve the wrong map bug. Download and install the latest version ;)
RE: the remaining bug, it only happens if you happen to cross a map swap-line with the map window open. Recrossing the swap-line with the window closed fixes the problem. Its a result of how the map reset function works and for now isn't something I can easily fix short of disabeling the rest function entirely. I figure the current situation is better then having to manually reset using the menus. |
Problems with POI
HI,
I noticed something strange. I was yesterday in TS, the map was the right one, but I had both TS POI, and Antonica POI ! |

Odd Bag Problem
1 Attachment(s)
I am currently using the 66%, 3-column vertical bags with Fetish Nightfall, and have applied all of the "stay-put" features to them, including getting rid of the minimumsize/maximumsize which you have left in, and it's working well, with one exception. The box that I have in my 4th shared bank slot not only keeps 'forgetting' its position, sliding to the right or left each time I log in, it also keeps 'forgetting' that I locked it, becoming unlocked each time I log in. At first, I thought it must be a corrupted uisettings file, so I deleted it and started from scratch, but the box window still slides and unlocks on its own.
Any idea what the problem might be? I am enclosing the bag file I am using so that you can see if it is something I did wrong. |

what I did was just open up "eq2ui_mainhud_groupmembers.xml" in notepad and take out all the auto-assist buttons. They'll look like this: "<Button BackgroundOpacity="0.000" Name="Assist" OnPress="/assist group_member_1 autoattack='1.0'" ScrollExtent="107,15" Size="107,15" Style="/Fetish.ButtonStyles.invisible"></Button>" There's one for each group member, so 5 of those lines to delete all together. This is the first thing I do w/ each new release now. Now this mod is perfect for me. Hope this helps :) |
