Ok so anyone having any problems that we havent already addressed? Please be very specific in your description. The more descriptive it is the less time we have to spend trying to track down or reproduce the problem. Also please include the version number you are using. Oh and remember not every single change we make goes to update notes so make sure you have the latest version. Most likely your problem has already been fixed or expained what was going wrong.

bah, If i can ever find a good delphi control that suports UTF-8, I'll just build a eq2map updater into the control pannel.
The one I was using saves in ansi and well thats ok as long as you don't try to save it agian in the uibuilder. Then you have trouble.. Im still searching lol.. |

Heidrika and Landiin, the bug with the rewards window is basically that it doesn't have a scroll bar - it seems to be a fixed size. If your quest reward gives you 1 item, you can see 1 item and the accept button. any more than about 4, the accept button gets "pushed" off the bottom of the window and doesn't display, nor does it have any scroll bar, so you can't press it (but you can press enter) and any more than the 4 rewards it displays doesn't show (so you can't select them either). this has been happening since about 1.12.3 I think. I'll see if i can get a screenie during my travels.
Other than that, the UI works pretty sweet. keep up the good work. :D |

Bags and Pet
I installed Extreme UI and loved it except for one thing, I couldn't target my pet using his little box, I had to spin around and click him. For some that seem like a small issue but for me its huge, especially in big fights. Is there something I can do so I can click on the little pet window and target him?
2nd question. I went back to the default UI and everything is fine except my bags are cut in half, I can't see 2 of the right columns and that is where my food/water is. I tried DL'n some bag mobs but that was no luck. Now I have a choice, play with the Extreme UI with no pet target (Or I just couldn't figure out how) or play with the default with the right half of all my bags missing...PLS help :) I love the Extreme UI, awesome job on it....except for the pet window (Box) |

Should first thank authors design such one attractive and awesome UI.
What I used was the latest version (1.12.5). There are some problems here (or comments). I am a templar. The job that I do most frequently is to look after members' HP in the group, and proper buff/debuff. The design layout of the UI can let me take the information into consideration quickly at present, and use the correct skill listed on the hotbars. However, it is above the location to heroic window, this makes my eyes often shift the sight to upper and lower screens, this problem lets me feel the suitable inconvenience. In addition, when I introduce this UI to one of my friends (who is a conjurer). He complains to me that there is too less hotbars in the layout, generally he will utilize to 5 to 6 hotbars. Can the above two problems are there better solutions during next version layout? Or even can consider the cast type and melee type two kinds of different layouts? |
Just a statement to the above poster you can make ANY number of hotbars by simply right clicking and adding anotehr hotbar I have FIVE myself.
My question to the author is are you in the process of fixing the chopping off of the 0. whatever % on the xp bar? Also it seems that my tradeskill vitality is actually displaying my adventure vitality as they are always hte same when I know that they are not. Is there a simple code fix that I could change to get it to display my artisan vitality? Also a friend of mine is running this UI and he got a quest reward and he could not change the quest reward box to get to the accept window so right now hes running around with it invisible until I can actually choose to accept his quest reward. Hopefully it doesnt time out or get replace with a second quest reward window. Also is it possible to replace the buff bar that shows how many buffs I'm supporting? It seems to stop at about 10 and I cant tell when all of my damage shields, etc on all the people in my parties buffs are going to expire. I click on it and can't seem to redefine the borders to make more show. BTW This UI is awesome and I love it....just hoping for a couple fixes to the above. Thanks for all your hard work on this thing. I know I couldn't do all the lines of code, etc. if my life depended on it. |

Concerning the effects bar: When in double row mode (the '-' showing), the bottom of the effects bar cuts off the top of the inventory window (the part that shows your weight carried). I have not tried to move the inventory window yet. This is not a critical problem, just pointing it out. Also, the number of buffs showing in the effects bar is 1 more than the width of the effects bar (thus, outside the bar), with the rest wrapping to the second row. Concerning the eXtreme tracking window: I haven't tried lately as I switched to the OCD (Jaxel's) tracking window, but I could not resize the tracking window to make it skinnier (i.e. in the horizontal direction). |
I just wanted to say thanks for making this UI. I love it. There have been a few Problems but i have been following the progress, and It looks like Things are really coming together. I was having Problems with the maps in the commonlands. You all are on top of things so much that i just had to check here and the solutions was already posted. I have to wait to get home to check to see if it worked but i have faith in all your tallents.

Ok, I downloaded the Auto EQ2map updater thing, Updated all of the files ( i have like 200 out of date file, it took a while lol) And I get on the game trying to get to a /loc using the map I minimize it, so I can see where I am going, Once I found the /loc I was looking for I try to click it to recieve a waypoint, well when I clicked... it went *poof* So i brought the map up again (it was still minimized) So I click to normalize it, and *poof* there it went again. Then I brought it up again, and it was really dorked up. the map was hanging off the edges (past the bottom bar that says fp area, qeynos area) and also overflowing on the right side. I click the map, and *poof* now I am getting frustrated lol. So I go afk for a few minutes, I come back bring the map up, try to normalize it, and it did what it was supposed to, it normalized, I click for the waypoint, and I get my waypoint. This part is a bit hard for me to explain. I am running towards my desired /loc and all of a sudden the little red triangle that shows where I am, runs off the map. It was sitting about an inch off of the actual map, then *poof* lol it disappears.

OK i just founf a guhe bug, yesterday i was at Zek, and i got a "choose items for reward" and the accept button would not appera, and i just lost a really useful book, and a really good weappon that i could use, so please try to fix that before someone else gets the same thing...

You shouldnt have LOST anything. My friend has the same thing and the quest selection has stayed up for 2 days of him logging into game. If its completely disappeared its one thing but at least in my friends case the ability to select it is staying with the character.
Also if its still there and its that great of an issue delete the eq2ui.ini...go in with default and select your quest item and then reload the UI. The author knows about the problem and I'm sure hes working to fix it. |

Ok besides all that, the attached picture is of my eq folder. There are a lot of configureation files, and I am just wondering if they are all nessessary. Also if there a way to delete everything that came with the extreme UI at one when I am ready to download the new update? And also, how come some of the file names are blue, while the others are black? I am computer nub, and Ive been wondering this for a while hehe. ok it resized the picture, so if you cant see it could you possibly tell me how to get it to NOT resize it lol

There is just so many files in there now that don't need to be there. Extract eXtreme in the UI folder then what ever file is in the extrme folder U need to delet from the everquest2 folder. Well u don't have to but it does cludder it up. |

If you can't find eXtreme in the download section it is because an admin has not yet aproved the update. Check back later and I am sure it will be ready for you to down load.

I see that you have addressed the issues I brought up, thanks :) I'll post the screenshot anyway. You can see the expanded effects window covering part of the weight text from the inventory. Also, I was using Mackgee's 'fix' for the squished exp, but it is still partly cutoff (can't wait to try 1.12.6 tonight).
Another issue I noticed is that the Quest window and Effects window are in front of chat bubbles (e.g. when I was listening to the Harclave story. I should have screencapped it). The Inventory window, however, is behind the chat bubble (as it should be). Basically what happens is the Quest window and the Effects window block out part of the chat bubble (you can turn your character or look up to get the chat bubble down into the center of your screen though. Note: I am using OCD's target/implied target windows, HO window, and tracking window. I have also modified the guildlogo.dds (that was fun trying to figure that out). Also note that I have 2 rows of hotkeys along with the maintained spells bar (which leaves a small gap on either side, but I can live with it). http://baronken.com/files/eq2_1.jpg Edit: Please do not embed images larger than 1024x768. |

I run 1920x1200 (As big as my laptop will go hehe) But if you have one in that vacinty will work =) That BG was a lil too busy for me but Im sure others will like it
