I done that every time I log in. But it keeps coming back. |
You should have 2 "thorui" folders.
1.) The ThorUI AU program location "C:\Program Files\thorui" 2.) The User Interface location, usually "C:\Sony EverQuest II\UI\thorui" When you select/check a feature, the program checks to see if you have the feature files. If you don't have the file or the correct time stamp version of the file, the ThorUI AU will download it again. Therefore when you wish to stop using a feature you must perform to actions. 1.) Run the ThorUI AU program and deselect the feature you no longer wish to use. (Be sure to click "ok" all the way back to the main page then click update.) It may be a good idea to close then relaunch the ThorUI AU and double check that the feature you unchecked is still unchecked. 2.) Delete the feature files. If you know what files you need to delete you may manually browse to the User Interface location and delete those files. If you're not sure of which files to delete you may simply delete the thorui User Interface folder (Location #2 above) then relaunch the ThorUI AU program and it will redownload all files. The exact file you would need to delete in order to remove the "Load map" feature is "EverQuest II\ui\thorui\eq2map\plugin_4.xml" If you delete the file make sure you look closely when you run the ThorUI AU. If it redownloads the file again, the feature must still be selected. Hope this helps, Quote:

Window placements, chat settings, and so forth are all saved in your window placement files.
If you delete the one for your character its impossible for it to come back. Just remember your window placements are saved when you leave/exit/logout of EverQuest II. So if you delete the file while you're in EverQuest II then log out, you will be saving the same information you just deleted. Your window placement files are in your EverQuest II directory and should look something like this... UNREST_faetyl_eq2_uisettings.ini Note: Format for each character is [SERVERNAME]_[CHARACTERNAME]_eq2_uisettings.ini Steps needed to delete window placement files are: 1.) Make sure the game is NOT running. 2.) Browse to your EverQuest II directory. Usually "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II" 3.) locate the [SERVERNAME]_[CHARACTERNAME]_eq2_uisettings.ini file for the character you are having an issue with and delete it. 4.) Log into EverQuest II with the character and the game will automatically create a new window placement file for that character IF you make any change to the window or chat structure. If you don't make any changes it won't make a new file for you. Use the "Window Wizard" provided in the ThorUI AU to setup my prearranged settings. Just make sure your not in game when you do this. ;) Quote:

Thanks, I'll try removing the file before I log out.

Why has the map window suddenly gotten strange?
Maybe this is something having to do with Update #15 that hasn't been resolved, but my map window has changed, and not really for the better. The grid effect is gone, and that I don't mind, but more important is the fact that on many maps a number of icons have disappeared, and on the maps that have all their icons, the icons are much smaller than they used to be, like maybe 2 pixels across. It's very hard to mouse over them now. Are there some settings I need to change, or is there just an issue that hasn't been fixed yet concerning the latest update?

Help / Petition Window Issue
Visually everything looks fine and when I attempt to send in a "ticket" I get the message stating that my ticket has been received. However, the window that shows all open tickets never shows anything. I can hit refresh but nothing ever shows up. I used to have 2 in there and now I don't. I saw earlier in this thread someone was having a problem similar to mine and the suggestion was made to delete the eq2ui_mainhud_help.xml file and run the updater and I have tried that but with the same result.
I suppose Sony could be just ignoring me :p , but aside from that any other ideas?? Thanks for your help... |
strangness with guild xp bar
I have noticed several times I have did writs and turned in status loot that the guild xp goes down instead of up. I have talked with ingame GM and they say that the status loot system is working fine. I have research just about everywhere trying to see if it has to do with faction but found nothing. So now I am trying to see if it is a SOE not communicationg with thorUI guild xp bar correctly. Please let me know anything this is becoming annoying, not the UI thats fantastic, the drops in guild xp. thanks :(
|
Mine is working fine.
Recommend you try again to see if perhaps they had an issue thats now resolved. If it still doesn't work... Do the typical, delete the EverQuest II\UI\thorui folder and redownload all UI files Let us know what your findings are Quote:

I haven't had time to verify the issue but I can see that SOE decided to completely revamp the EXP bar.
They've changed the structure of the coding completely. The good news is its more in line of how I had mine arranged so the change should be easy ;) I'll upload the modified files ASAP ------------------------------------------- Update: Ok, i've verified the EXP info is indeed working correctly. I am proceeding with updating my coding to accomodate their restructure (should make the next update easier) All I can guess is they had a dynamic data glitch earlier. Quote:

Upon trying this and deleteing the forementioned file, plugin_4.xml EQ2 crashes directly to desktop upon entering the world. Once the file is replaced again everything is fine, but of course now the plugin is back. Any other ideas :) -Zed |
hehe you have to run the eq2map updater after you delete that file. (It replaces the missing file)
Sorry I should have told you that part huh :o I just assume everyone has the ThorUI AU setup to autolaunch the eq2map AU which then launches EQ2 Quote:

Great UI
First of all I would like to say awesome job. You make it easy for people to use custom UI's, something I'd given up on because of having people create but never update. Thank you both so much for your hard work.
I added the fancy camp button feature where you are supposed to be able to quickly change characters, but all the "character" buttons only say character and pressing any of them gives me an error message that the game can't find the world server after it camps out, and then I have to quit to desktop. I'm sure there is some info the file is missing but I'm not sure how to add it, or whatever needs to be done. Any suggestions? Thanks, Crystyl of Lavastorm |

Thanks Plus A Quick Question
:o
Thanks for the great UI. Only question I have is do you have an update or something for the target box. The SOE one is way too long and cant be resized, and the one with Thor is pretty big too. I love the UI because it has the "slim" feature" allowing more for less on my screen. So I wonder am I missing something I need to check mark or is there no option for a smaller, slimer, resizable target box. Thanks much! PittyPatsy |
Yes indeed,
I actually have 3 different sizes that I made and offer in the feature section, not to mention 1 or 2 other author's target window mods. After you launch the ThorUI AU, press the advanced button and browse the features section for more options. Quote:

Deselect the hotkeys feature within the ThorUI AU then manually delete the "eq2ui_mainhud_hotkey.xml" or delete the entire thorui folder within your EverQuest II\UI directory then relaunch the ThorUI AU so that it may pull the files down again.

I don't have my view pointed in the wrong direction and , I have tried to delete the thor ui folder and let the updater pull the files again. When I go back to the standard EQ interface the compass is right. Can you plese help?
