Can't get it to be visible

I have tried suggestion to get it to be visible but this is not working. Looks like great mod if I can get it to work. My startbutton becomes inmovable and none of the features show up. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

I have tried the mod installed by itself on new characters, new game installs and have not had any problems with it not showing. Try making a new UI folder and edit your eq2.ini in your eq2 root directory to match the new folder name and install just this mod and see if you can get it to work. May help you figure out if it is a UI conflict with a current mod you already have installed.

For example there are known issues with Fetish UI and this startbutton mod (if you are using Fetish do not install this mod instead look under patch section and try my Fetish Command Center).

Slight glitch

nothing deal-breaking, but I noticed that the mouseover text for the all-bags button says it's the info-center button, or maybe it was the other way around.

Yup I missed editing the Toggle Bag tooltip when I was moving buttons around, I had same tooltip as the quest helper toggle. There is a new info center release I need to add to the file anyways, I will add that and get that tooltip fixed. Should have it ready and uploaded soon.

Hi Krull =)

I love this startbutton - especially the eat/drink function as I turn auto-consume off and the fact you made a button to open the info centre is outstanding! I was using Mahroni's Coin/Weight window (as well as others) anyway so that was a nice addition. And toggle for Quest Helper? Omg thats just brilliant thanks!

I have a couple of questions about the Coin/Weight. The window isn't saving settings and position. Now I don't know if its the mod or an EQ2 problem because at the moment that seems to be happening with several other windows so I thought it best to ask first

I couldn't find a release forum post so I hope it was ok to post this here

Yeah I really should start up a support thread soon.

I believe the problem is with custom windows/mods. They dont save their location and window settings like the default windows do (which is why alot of mods are tied around a default xml file like the main part of this is tied to the startbutton). I will do some research though and see if I can find a fix or workaround.

Kewl =)

Well of course the SOE tech guys are saying *just delete your ini file and windows WON'T reset to default positions*. Well piffle I tested last night on two chars deleting ini going in arranging windows exiting EQ etc etc and as suspected its nothing to do with corrupted ini files. I've been away for a few months but I suspect this is new to one of the recent updates - so annoying!

PS: I love your button more everytime I play

Sound settings not saving

I really like this window, but the sound settings on load up default to 0.50 and I have to reset everytime I log in. Is there some way to change the default?

There is no way to have the mod actually save the settings, but if you do not mind some text editing in notepad I can send you a personal message on how to change the presets it loads to something more to your needs. Check your personal messages shortly.

Couple of little things with this otherwise excellent mod...

There seems to be no way to memorize sound settings...just from playing around with the xml it doesn't seem like there is any way for it to keep settings, as they load in from the \video folder. You can adjust the values in there so that it comes up with whatever default value you want, just wondering if there is anyway to parse the previous value from the recent settings file or some such.

The mod also seems to load up with the extra settings panel maximized and oriented from the bottom of the new maximized size - end result I need to shrink it...move it back down to where it was, and reposition the actual start button. I tried digging around to see if there was anything obvious in the xml but that rapidly went over this poor rangers head.

I also vaguely remember seeing something on changing the settings for raid mode on and off...if anyone could point me in the direction of that would be awesome, as I don't think the old performance panel .ini generator works...

Awesome mod otherwise 8)

While it would be possible to write a parsing program (for someone with that experience I do not think my limited knowledge of C++ or Visual Basic would cut it) to open the eq2_recent.ini file and save the last sound settings to a file, it would not be the last sound settings from the slider (there is no way to save the settings from the mod in any form that I know of). The sound settings in the recent ini file comes from the in game options/sound section and only actually saves to the ini file when you click the accept button. So it would be possible to parse those values from a program and make custom preset xmls that would need to be placed in the video folder that the mod could load but not possible as far as I know to have the preset xml files parse the ini itself and load the values. If that makes sense.

As far as the mod loading in maximized form, that I can/will fix in an update asap. I most likely had it maximized in UI builder while working on the raid mode on/off toggles and forgot to minimize it before I saved and UI builder set the flag to load it maximized. As far as the startbutton it should auto place itself upon mouseover of the missing spot for it in the mod unless you mean (and you probably do) that you like to manually move it into position so that when the mod loads its in place without having to mouseover.

I will send you a private message(s) with more info on how to edit your preset xml files in notepad that will hopefully help for setting up your sound and raid mode settings to your liking.

Not meaning to sound flippant, but wouldn't everybody probably want those instructions on how to set up raid mode? I know I wouldn't mind some additional instructions on setting the video modes to my liking.

First off the utility program and instructions are INCLUDED in the last upload if you had read the updated file description text above.

While I know that alot of people like to customize their settings, I was reluctant to include a program NOT designed for my mod that requires someone to manually edit multiple files (and if not properly done mess up button locations).

Sorry man. Didn't realize you updated today with that, as I just downloaded yesterday, and there was no such thing then.

I'll take a look at it.
