I am have been having the same problem for a while now. I have deleted and uninstalled everything -- redownloaded and reinstalled a few times now -- and still am having the error

I really enjoyed having eq2 maps -- and am not sure what has gone wrong.. One day it was working and the next it stopped and started getting that error message.

Same thing has happened on my husbands computer also.

Is there ever the possability of being able to resize the map in game? or make it a seperate window so we can have a smaller in game map, and call this map for our POIs etc?

I'd love to have a full time map displayed (Minimap) but this addon (eq2maps in general) prevents us from resizing the window.

The map resizes now.... update was pushed out late last night. This isnt really the place to ask for eq2map features. This is the for the auto patcher/updater.

I don't know what this is , can be the config file that is corrupt, try to delete it.

What version are you using 1.0.11 ?

I have found out what the problem is.
after installing version 1.0.11 and later 1.0.12 i became theself errormessage.
installed the program in my eq2directory.
problem: the programm makes no entry in the register options.
you must do it self and the error is delete ;O)
but now is a new problem if the map start:
Checking Database
Failed to download Database
Error downloading File:
extrafile_list.xml
the operation has timed out
No Updated Files
No New Files
Update Done

how can i become the file?

This is a network error , probably the firewall.
Check if there is EQ2MAPs news in the center window or a error message.
The center window is a normal browser window.

After updating this morning the box to remove the fog is now gone. Is anyone else having this issue?

The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
Using cached Database
Scanning installed files
No Updated Files
No New Files
Update Done

I went to options and tried to re-download all the files and got the same Error downloading File message as above.
