DarqUI Unified



November 13, 2018: Chaos Descending


A new version of DarqUI is available. Version 3.1.1.8 includes the following new features and improvements:


Utility v3.1.1.8 adds broker log support for non-US clients. If you are not having trouble displaying broker logs, then you can continue using v3.1.1.7. Nothing else was changed. Thanks to saw-lau for reporting the bug


Also since it's been asked about several times, the DarqUI Target window does not resize horizontally at this time, even though the default Target window does. Making this change to the modded version breaks the ability to resize the target effect icons as shown in this image. If I can get both things to work at the same time, I will. But I felt like having the larger icons was more important than the ability to stretch the window.



Shutdown (Camp) Window
  • Rearrange the order of account tabs using the Nickname field. See the help file for instructions

Broker Logs
  • Display a summary of interesting broker sales metrics for each character: total receipts, most popular item, biggest spender and more
  • Drill down to view and sort individual purchases and sales in a spreadsheet format
  • Use the sales grid to calculate additional data such as average price paid for an item
  • Parse character's entire history or narrow the results for today, current week, past 12 months, etc.

DarqUI Unified combines the best of DarqUI, DarqUI Live and EQ2Inventory into one, with some useful new features. Standard DarqUI users can now choose to make quick, permanent configuration changes right from the game screen while playing, as an alternative to loading up the external window utility. There is no longer a limit to the number of characters that can be customized, and many of the settings that were previously shared by all of your characters can now be configured for each character separately.

DarqUI Live users can take advantage of an all-new configuration app with features like Quick Setup, backup and restore, character and spell file maintenance, and a new lookup feature that queries Daybreak servers for spell lines and icons to use for your spell buttons. The DarqUI Unified configuration app has been rewritten from the ground up to provide all of the conveniences from the DarqUI Window Utility and the Live Updater. You will find many usability improvements and an uncluttered design that matches the familiar in-game window manager.

Large size windows DarqUI Unified offers larger-size versions of many windows to accommodate higher resolution monitors. Choose the size you prefer from the Updates page of the utility. These include Active Journal (quest helper), Casting Bar, Chat, Dissonance, Examine, Experience Bar, Group, Implied Target, Maintained Spell Monitor, Maintained Spells, Mercenary, NPC Spell Monitor, Pet, Player, Raid, Savagery, Target, Threat and Tracking. DarqUI windows that were already usable with higher resolutions include Detrimental Effects, Gear Buff Macros, Hotbars, Icon Bar and Spell Effects.

EQ2Inventory Track and search equipment, bags, bank, shared bank, house vault, Wardrobe contents, mount and Familiar collections and up to 9 houses, guild hall and player-made dungeons per character from the DarqUI Unified interface.

Chat Log Parser features keyword, category and date/time searches that recognize English, German and French log files. Use the preset category filters or build your own using regular expressions.

EQ2MAP integration Install and update the official EQ2MAP alongside DarqUI with a single click.

Help system Help files are now available for all DarqUI Unified windows and utility functions. Context-sensitive help information can be accessed externally from the window utility or from the window manager in-game. Use the new, more robust "Make default" feature on the Files page of the utility to set DarqUI as your default. This will prevent needing to use /loadui from the game window which crashes the awesomium browser.

Spell Suggestions There is a new French spell suggestion file in addition to German and English.

DarqUI Unified Notifications is a Windows tray icon that checks periodically for DarqUI and EQ2MAP updates. More information for setting up and using DarqUI_Notify can be found here. The app is optional, and is included in the download on this page.

Would it be possible to add an option to Darq UI in regard to the new count down UI addition.

Either by adding a default voice that counts down from 5 or allow us to add custom sound files?

Without even looking I can tell you this is true. Broker logs got moved out of the chat logs module which uses Unix time, but I forgot to do anything about non-US locales. Error Loading Broker Logs

Hi,

I get an exception thrown when selecting 'Load broker logs.' I'm assuming that it's locale related: the logs seem to be using dates in US format (mm/dd/yyyy) and my PC is set to using them in UK English format (dd/mm/yyyy).

I think the solution should be something along the following lines, assuming the uitility is written in VB as suggested by the stack trace:

If you are using the floating XP Nav bar there will be an icon down near the right end as shown in the first image below. It looks like a wizard spire on a blue background. If you don't use the Nav bar, you can still add the icon to the main XP Command bar as shown in the second image. Or you can use one of the three custom icon slots on the Start menu to add the Transport icon.

By the way, these images come from the update notes on the DarqUI Portal front page. When players have a few minutes I recommend scanning through the past updates on this page. I'll bet most DarqUI users have missed one or two new features along the way.

Transport Window

I can't seem to find the transport window you mention in the post on Oct 19. Is there a command to show it? I'm running 3116.

Showing the window on login is trickier than it may seem, but you can turn on shiny tracking by default fairly easily. In Notepad, search for the only instance of Name="TogShiny" then add the following on the same line:


...Location="13,40" Name="TogShiny" Activated="true" Checked="true" OnHoverIn=...

Harvesting window

Love this window. Is it possible to have the window always open to save opening it every time I start EQ2. Also can the option to harvest shinnies be set to on permanently.

You can monitor the Berserk Rage buff but not the Berserk spell that appears temporarily in Spell Effects during combat. Only spells that appear in the Maintained Spells window can be monitored.

The browserexternal command will work within the UI for URLs that do not contain spaces, but the vast majority of links to quests, collections, etc., contain spaces. So there is no way that I have found to reliably link externally to Wikia (fandom). There was a short discussion about this a couple of weeks ago, and unfortunately no one seems to have come up with a solution thus far.

Been trying to get the monitor to track the berserk buff that berserkers gets, but so far I have had no luck.

is it not possible to track this buff?
