You can open "eq2ui_custom_poifinder.xml" and at MaximumSize="300,16384" change 300 to a bigger value.
But as TreeMos version cap the buttons there is no point doing so.

This add on makes EQ2 Map worth using, trying to find anything in the sea of dots without this is futile at best.

I like the color changes in this latest build however i can no longer make it wide? I can heighten and lengthen the window but cannot widen it; the cursor never switches to horizontal mode?

Any ideas?

OK. I read other posts about this. In the last version 151 i could resize horizontally and i did see more text, i also had it running on two separate PC's, and neither was locked horizontally and both saw extra text which was very useful in locating poi.

I can edit xml, what do i need to change to unlock this horizontal limitation?

If you have any remains of the old poifinder installations that may be the case. You need to delete the eq2ui_mainhud.xml file if you have one or update your custom UI if you use that.

Does anyone know if POI Finder has anything to do with the new voice chat windows being black? Everyone with just EQ2maps says it looks fine, but I have that plus POI Finder...just wondering

I accidentally installed the poifinder on top of the auto updating map instead of the manual version as you said in your download instructions. I guess I just missed that. It seems to work just fine but I haven't auto updated since I installed it. Should I uninstall your poifinder if I plan to go on using the auto-updating version of the map?

To figure out which directory to unzip the files to, read section 2 of the above installation instructions very slowly and carefully. As a first time installer you will also probably have to rename the eq2ui_custom_example.xml file as described in the 3rd paragraph of section 4.

I can't seem to get it to work. I'm a noob with eq2 and just installed the eq2map and then I extracted the POI finder to the UI dir, then someone tryed to tell me to install it to the UI/Default dir and that doesn't seem to make it work either. What am I doing wrong? I have no other UI addons installed

I fixed my black background problem! I use Profit's Market Window mod and that also uses the eq2ui_custom.xml. I made the mistake of putting the <include>eq2ui_custom_poifinder.xml</include> after the last Profit include line, but it really had to be placed after the first Profit <include> line. So here is how I configured the file to get the white background:

If you look back though the comments you'll see the occasional post about the "Black background Problem". Usually it has something to do with the way the eq2ui_custom.xml file is configured. But if nothing jumps out at you, go back and read those installation instructions again slowly and carefully. Doing a full custom mod delete and reinstall if all else fails.

In the sample pictures the poi finder window has a white background and a blue font. However mine has a black background and a blue font. My eyes are having a terriable time reading it. Could someone tell me which file and where to edit, to change the background to white so i can read it.

Otherwise I love this mod.

The eq2ui_mainhud.xml is not used anymore, should be in the eq2ui_custom.xml file.
There might be a typo in my error message.
Ill will try to install it on Fetish.

I did a clean install of Fetish and it works whithout any errors.
You can try to do a clean install and see if that helps.

I have tried everything under the sun. Cannot get POI Finder to run with Fetish Nightfall UI.

I get the error "Can't find eq2ui_custom_poifinder entry in eq2ui_mainhud.xml file, create one?
Answering Yes: Can't create entry:
Index was out of range. Must be nonnegative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: startindex

The eq2ui_mainhud.xml file is now in every folder in my fetish nightfall folder and has the entry in it.

If the button is missing the plugin7.xml file my be in the wrong location.
Make sure all the paths is right
