Exur, for the moment the Group and Raid automatic targeting will not operate in Battlegrounds. This is either A) a bug that will be reverted by SOE, or B) working as intended, which means I'll have to change the targeting code to match whatever they have done. The issue has been reported, so we'll have to see what the developers do with it.

In the meantime, if your targeted commands are working correctly on the live servers, you have the correct files. For anyone who still has bugged targeting on live servers, go to the updater and forcibly re-download the Group and Raid windows which have a temporary patch until we hear more from development.

Anyone else seeing this? 2.0 worked in Battlegrounds, so just wondering if this was something others were seeing and/or being addressed.

Thanks!

no chanter love

I've been trying to figure out your group and raid windows. It doesn't work as it is at the moment but one thing I'm noticing is that mana flow is nowhere to be found. That is pretty much the ONLY spell I want/need on my click to cast bar. I tried right clicking and looking for it but it doesn't exist. Where or how can I add mana flow to your UI? I'm sure Illy's are wondering the same thing cause they don't have it either.

Post Re: no chanter love

just2stoned, choose Illusionist from the class dropdown menu and press the "Populate" button. You'll get five preset spell choices for your Illusionist. Although Mana Flow isn't in the first five choices, if you will right-click one of the spell names you'll get a pop-up menu that has several spell choices including Mana Flow. Click Mana Flow and it will replace the spell on that line.

Also just a note, you don't have to be content with the preset spell choices. If you don't see a spell that you want to use, just manually type it into the Spell Name cell and optionally choose an icon for it.

hello, I wanted to switch from Profit to Darq, downloaded the files to
the UI folder (...\Everquest II\UI\DarqUI), set the eq2.ini to
cl_ui_skinname DarqUI
cl_ui_subdir UI/

but my UI remains Profit. There is no subfolder in the DarqUI folder. To install a custom UI is easy enough and I have no clue what I could have done wrong. Any suggestions?

Michirure, log out and temporarily rename the ProfitUI folder to something like ProfitUIxxx and then log back in and type /loadui DarqUI. This should nail down the default UI folder name in your settings. When it's loading like you want, don't forget to go back and rename the ProfitUI folder to its correct name.

Question Error on start eq2.ini

I really like the setup of this UI, but whenever I run the updater I get an error saying the eq2.ini file could not be found or created. I have it pointing to the right path and I even copied the ini to the DarqUI folder just in case.
any ideas on what I can do??

thanks.

tiordan1, what is the path shown at the top of your Settings tab? The utility will give you the error message if it cannot find at least the string

EverQuest II\UI\<any folder name>

in the path you choose. The most likely problem is that the UI path on your Settings tab ends with ...EverQuest II\UI in which case you'll want to create a subfolder inside EverQuest II\UI (if it was not already created) and point the utility to that.

Create a new folder called EverQuest II inside "sony online entertainment" like this:

C:\sony online entertainment\EverQuest II

Name it exactly the way I've done it, and copy your eq2.ini file into the new empty directory. Everything should work, but you will still have one warning dialog (instead of two) which you should ignore when you open the utility.

path

How do I make your installer use MY path instead of its own?
I have a /games directory on all my machine, and in there are the various directories for game, Everquest II is /games/eq2
I won't change it as many programs such as backup programs know it.
Every UI I have experimented with (Profit is current) have no problems, but
your group/raid interfaces are very nice. I dont want your whole UI ( am willing to give it a try tho) so is there any way to install pieces like the group one? Your older versions worked fine.

karrani, you decide what your download path will be on the Settings tab of the utility. If the path does not contain the words "EverQuest II\UI" you may get a warning dialog, but it will still download to the location you specify. You can either A) configure your customizations in some remote directory and then manually copy the pieces into your custom UI folder for use, or B) point the utility to the UI folder and customize the files from there.

You can use just a few of the DarqUI pieces or all of them. Each piece is self-contained so they can be moved safely to any other custom UI folder.

Not an error with the UI piece that I'm aware of. Try downloading it again and don't customize anything.
