When I try to use an ability lookup for the Icon Bar for Tainted Mutation (Thaumaturge Ascension), I get an ability ID that doesn't work (useability 1403792237) and the game says "This spell or ability is no longer available."

Tainted Mutation is one of the Ascensions that now has five levels, each with its own spell ID. The upcoming version of the utility will allow you to choose the correct spell by level in these cases. In the meantime here are the spell IDs:

Maintained monitor

I've noticed that the maintained monitor won't pick up my spells as being cast the more items I have on my maintained buff window. If I drop some maintained spells, they then show up. Is it only looking up to a certain # of buffs?

Yes, there are 30. This thread discusses how to hide certain buff icons that you don't need to see in order to free up slots to monitor.

Hi!
Is there a way to make melee auto attack use the same auto attack window as ranged auto attack is using?

If not,
Is there a way to modify the threat window so that it only shows the auto attack bar and the numeric threat value to the left or right side of the auto attack bar?

I want to get rid of the target name and the big visual red/yellow threat graphics. In the Threat window settings, i currently have everything but Melee autoattack bars and Numerical threat values disabled.

Ranged and melee bars occupy the same window in both cases -- default and DarqUI.

If you're willing to make an edit in Notepad you can get some of what you want. Open eq2ui_mainhud_threat.xml and search for the only occurrence of the word ThreatAndName. Somewhere on that line add Visible="false" and then save the file and restart the game. The threat bars will be gone but there will be a gap between numbers and autoattack bars. I'll see if there is a way to remove threat bars and the gap without manually changing the file.

Thx! I added your tweak and it works fine. Of course there is the gap as you mentioned but the screen looks so much less clogged up, would really appreciate if a feature would come up eventually to add the numeric threat by the side - maybe one for the toon and at the other side for a pet if you have one?

I am not sure what the deal is by me, but if i have forced ranged enabled, then the "classic" auto attack bar is in use together with threat auto attack bar. With just forced melee, only threat bar is used.

Try going to game options (Alt+O) >> User Interface >> Game Windows and uncheck the box for Show Autoattack Bar. This should get rid of the large "classic" bar. Melee bars appear below ranged in this window, so if it's only tall enough to see the ranged bar this would explain why you never see melee.

Yay! New features & error message

I just downloaded v3113 and I can't wait to use some of the new features, especially the macro bar!

I am receiving an error message every time I open the Utility, however. It reads: "There was an internal problem with the Persona Notes customization file. The error (shown below) could not be ignored, so the file was not loaded. You can work with the other windows, but changes to the Persona Notes file will not be saved."

Persona Notes are stored in \UI\DarqUI_v3\POI\darquiv3_notes.xml. This is the editable notepad feature on the Character window. There is something in one of your characters' notes or the shared notes that the utility doesn't like. Was some text copied-and-pasted into the box from an external source such as a web page?

The file is not causing an issue, and the notes can't be edited in the utility anyway. So the error message is only an annoyance. Open the file in Notepad and see which character's name is just above line 7, then log in to that character and check the "My Notes" tab, deleting anything that is not simple keyboard text. If you see Name=Common just above line 7, then it's on the "Shared Notes" tab.

Plane of Magic

I was wondering if anyone else is having problems see the factions for the 3 in POM? I have updated all files and still do not see POM under the faction tab. It might be something I did or did not do. Any input would be helpful. Thank you

Your character needs to do something to adjust one of the Plane of Magic factions before it will appear in the list. If you have finished at least one faction quest and you still do not see it, use /loadui to switch to the default UI and see if it shows up. Please post again if the two lists do not match.

Thank you, Darq! Yes, indeed... there was a blank box in the text. Oddly, it did not show in the notes.xml file (last saved 9/20/17), and did not cause an issue until I downloaded the new version yesterday.
However, it's fixed now. I really, really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction to fix it, and I'll watch out for that in the future.

Inventory Overflow went to appearence

I had an item equipped in finger slot, swapped toons, when I relogged the item went to Inventory Overflow. Found it in appearance finger slot and cant move it out.

Nevermind, when I zoned it moved it automatically to inventory in bags.
