Arg, It's 3:40 AM and I can't remember the exact location of these settings in options... However, look through the options under User Interface.

pop up windows have seperate settings for seperate "Mouse-Over Locations" (an equipped item, item in bag, item in loot lottery window, a HOTBUTTON)

I have my UI set up so that NO tool-tips will ever pop up with my hot buttons... However, if I open my inventory / a bag / knowledge window / or a loot lottery window.... The stat's "Tool-tip" window pops up WITH the "currently equipp'ed" comparison next to it. Under a second. =)

Anyway, the moral of the story is.... YES, you can turn off those annoying pop ups on a hotbutton mouseover.

I use this UI for my hot bars. With the new expansion it has a problem with the skill info showing up when you put your mouse over a button. Anyone know how to fix this?

I guess this is because your pc is reading EQ2.ini as a txt file rather than an ini file. If you have windows xp select tools/folder options/view and enable 'display the full path in the title bar'. When you set up your EQ2 txt file in your EQ2 main folder you can then change it from a txt file to an ini file simply by calling it EQ2.ini.

Also remember to follow the instructions in the download's 'read me' file to the letter. This mod is really simple as you just past the relevant files into your new UI once you have unzipped them, but if you are downloading the map project you will need an additional sub folder in your custom UI for some of the map files.

for housekeeping purposes (and to avoid confusion) I also found it useful to save and unzip the UI mods to a separate download folder, away from my EQ2 folders and paste them into the custom UI once unzipped. That way you can be sure the modified files go exactly where you want them.

Sorry for being a newb but im still lost on getting this to work. Do i make a custom ui folder for just the hotbar? And if so how would i setup the eq2.ini to make it work? Some one please help me!!!

can you PLEZ release this exact same hotbar WITH bank selector *also scaled down 3/4*

I like to use bank selector to go to different pages for trade skill counters, rather then have my tradeskill hotbars open all the time like i am forced to do without the bank selector.

Only problem I have is sometimes when I log in I'll find some banks have reverted to bank 1 rather than what they were supposed to be. With the no-bank version I'm not sure how to change them back to the appropriate bank. Anyone know a way to do this?

Using a 1280*1240 screen, i can bank 4 hotbars on the side of my windows (in 6x2), having the active quest on top which is great. The center of the screen is really clear this way and i can put some ongoing recipes on the 4th hotbar.

I love this smaller size will nearly make the buttons disappear from my screen

Insom, love the hotbars, have a question however. When I shrink the window down for each, i can't get rid of 'blank space' on the edges. I haven't downloaded the mod thing to play with it myself. Can those spaces even be removed?

Your 3/4 hotbar configuration was a just what I was looking for. My cleric can now have 48 buttons up in the letterbox area and not take away from the game view.
