Game Update #57+ Compatible
Description:
This is a simple modification to the default hotbar. All extra space has been removed. The Frame is exactly 1 pixel outside the hotkeys, all the hotkeys are directly next to each other (when padding is set to 0), and the spinner is able to size down fairly small. Frame will scale down to minimum size as well.
Overlay re-use timers are now displayed with the Frame turned on in Window Settings. Enabling the Titlebar in Window Settings will enable reuse bars.
* Unlock each hotbar, or turn spinners on, to easily move them around.
Installation Notes:
- How To: Install A Custom UI
- eq2ui_mainhud_hotkey.xml goes in your CustomUI folder.
- DrumsUI/images/hotkey.dds goes in your CustomUI/DrumsUI/images/ folder.
Update Log:
2010.08.18
- Minor update for GU57 graphical changes
2010.05.02
- Now has a grab handle when hovering over the window (bottom-right)
- Hotbar's overlays will now automatically configure themselves (mouseover was the old method, which will still work if they fail to initialize automatically)
2009.04.26
- Now includes overlay re-use timers in text and bar form (controllable via Window Settings)
2008.06.16
- Recoded from scratch, now minimal space hotbars
2005.12.13
- Updated to latest GU to include hotbar options window
2005.10.23
- Minor fix to tertiary hotbar

Hello guys,
yes I've found the solution to how the rounded corners work with profit.
I don't really remember how I found this out back then, but yesterday I screwed up my UI and had to reinstall, so I compared with an old backup and saw what I did back then:
1: You need to get the file " icon_transp1.dds , I think I got it from DrumsUI-full download, it's in there somewhere.
2: This file goes to ".../UI/ProfitUI/icons/", you might have to accept to overwrite.
There you go, have fun everyone. I hope this helps.

Hi there, I'm using ProfitUI along with your hotkeys. How can I get the rounded corners to work?
For me they are always sharp corners... I put your icon file into the right place, i guess. Does that work with profit (I mean the rounded corners?)
Thanks in advance

HowTo for players that want larger Recast Countdown numbers
Opened the DrumsUI eq2ui_mainhud_hotkey.xml file with Notepad. Make sure ya have Write privileges on the file. Then, I did the following:
Notepad's Menu:
Edit > Replace ...
Find What:
/TextStyles.Small.SmallStyle
Replace With:
/TextStyles.Large.LargeStyle
Clicked the "Replace All" button.
|
Works perfectly.
I'd love to see this as a selectable option from within the UI. Til then, those of you who make this change might want to make sure that this file is marked ignored (if you're using the auto-updater).

Sorry, that was the wrong quote, as that was for the stacksize text actually...
You'd have to open the file and replaced all instances of:
/TextStyles.Small.SmallStyle
With:
/TextStyles.Normal.NormalStyle
Or:
/TextStyles.Large.LargeStyle
As there are 12 instances. I cannot guarantee that this won't cut off the text has the elements are sized for the textsize normally included.

It's based on a font property, so you cannot directly put in a size, but...
You could try taking Line #140:
Code:
<IconBank BackgroundOpacity="1.000" Dragable="true" font="/TextStyles.Normal.NormalStyle" framecolor="#B5935A" iconframepadding="0" iconpadding="0" iconstyle="/IconStyles.button" Location="11,0" Name="Icons" PackSize="a,a" renderframe="true" renderoutlines="true" ScrollExtent="384,32" Size="384,32" textcolor="#C3C3C3" textmargin="2,-1,2,-2" treatasbutton="true" />
And changing it to this:
Code:
<IconBank BackgroundOpacity="1.000" Dragable="true" font="/TextStyles.Large.LargelStyle" framecolor="#B5935A" iconframepadding="0" iconpadding="0" iconstyle="/IconStyles.button" Location="11,0" Name="Icons" PackSize="a,a" renderframe="true" renderoutlines="true" ScrollExtent="384,32" Size="384,32" textcolor="#C3C3C3" textmargin="2,-1,2,-2" treatasbutton="true" />

Be nice if the count down timer text was not so small. My hotbar icon size is 24 and I have a terrible time reading these small numbers counting down.
I like your hotbar design but the terribly small countdown numbers give me eye strain.
Would it be possible to make an option where we can have a more bolder, bigger count down text like ProfitUI? This is the only thing i like about ProfitUI are the bolder, bigger count down numbers.

I'm OK with the grab Handle it one less step for me to move the bar and it makes it eisaer to right click on to bring up options.
Is there anyway to make the timer numbers bigger and more white over the spell icon?
Nice work on the UI ... i like that you kept it simple.
Thanks

Is it possible to let that small square which displays everytime I go over any of hotbars disappear ?
I use like 4 hotbars which are pretty tiny and I have them above my main hotbars and that square takes like 1/4 of one window so everytime I am clicking that square (it does nothin gofc) instead of potion or sumthing else I should be clicking.
