I can't say with absolute certainty because I was using a compilation of assorted pieces, but I believe it was a piece from Drums.

Cause the similar line for the darqui_custom_extplayer file has a similar line without the "target_previous" and it seems to work fine.

A second issue I'm having, is with the player window when there is no detriment on you the spot where the click to cure buttons are causes a self target. This has been a real hassle when I go to use a pot cure and someone in group happens to cure me while I'm clicking, then I end up targeting myself since there was nothing to cure.

I might have some setting on/off somewhere causing these things, I'm not sure, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I'll look at both of these items, thanks for the heads-up.

Click to cure issues

I recently changed to this UI and so far it seems great. I am having a few issues though. In the player window with click to cure, it's sometimes changing targets when I cure.

This code appears in the eq2ui_mainhud_player file, and it has a "target_previous" in it, I'm assuming this is what is causing it?

Code:
<Icon BackgroundTint="#000000" DynamicData="/GameData.Group.Group_0.Effect1" IconStyle="det.tra" Location="1,5" MouseOverColor="#FFFF00" Name="Effect1" OnPress="cureplayer g0 trauma
target_previous" ScrollExtent="24,24" Size="24,24" TreatAsButton="true"/>
Cause the similar line for the darqui_custom_extplayer file has a similar line without the "target_previous" and it seems to work fine.

Code:
<Icon BackgroundTint="#000000" DynamicData="/GameData.Group.Group_0.Effect1" IconStyle="det.tra" Location="5,4" MouseOverColor="#FFFF00" Name="Effect1" OnPress="cureplayer g0 trauma" ScrollExtent="22,22" Size="22,22" TreatAsButton="true"/>
A second issue I'm having, is with the player window when there is no detriment on you the spot where the click to cure buttons are causes a self target. This has been a real hassle when I go to use a pot cure and someone in group happens to cure me while I'm clicking, then I end up targeting myself since there was nothing to cure.

I was really hoping that when I first logged in that what I was seeing was the large version, but it wasn't. Unfortunately it's so much larger than my old merc window. I could switch back to the merc window I previously used, but I really like all the other features on the DarqUI merc window.

Thank you for your comments, Senya. Which merc window were you using previously?

If this is agreeable, then you are all set. But as an experiment, I was able to get the ProfitUI camp window to work just fine by copying the following 4 files from ProfitUI into DarqUI:

_ProfitUI_LoginData.txt
_ProfitUI_Loginscene_RowTemplate.xml
eq2ui_loginscene.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_shutdown.xml

Optional: If you camp to the account login page (/camp login) there is a white square where the "ProfitUI Enabled" logo is supposed to go. It doesn't affect any of the functions, but if the white square is annoying you can copy the following two files from the ProfitUI images folder into the DarqUI images folder:

ProfitUI_enabled.dds
ProfitUI_enabled_outline.dds

.

Hey..copying the files from profit over worked like a charm. Thanks Greatly!!

Option one you offered of course works as well, by camping to account login obviously, but that negates the need, imo, to populate the character list with ALL your characters. Why bother populating the character list with "switch to" characters that can't really be switched to afterall? It probably should only populate that list with actual account specific characters? maybe, my opinion anyways. (Unless of course you are thinking about making the profit like switching the new default in Darq but that would prob mess with your quick setup in your utiity?)

The option of copying the other files from profit worked beautifully and seamless without the otherwise extra step of camping to account login.

Really appreciate your time and effort Darq. Thank you.

Copying those files worked brilliantly...

Regards.

WebR

Edit to add;Note to self..make sure to check both files copied over as "Skip" to update before telling wife to update with Darq before she plays.

A further question on this...my character lists are correct....the information in the quick setup is correct...switching a character works fine in the game...IF I am switching to a character on the same account..

My question: ..how do I switch to a character on a different account? The characters all show up in the character list..the proper server is there..but it never switches account and drops me to the character select of the character I just camped.

What am I missing?

I have setup info in the eq2ui_loginscene.xml in the dataSource - AcctSource to include acct names and passwords..but that didn't work...and I see no way to associate a character name with a specific account..I know I am missing someting somewhere...

I migrated from ProfitUi and I'm used to the _ProfitUI_LoginData.txt file that that interface had containing server/acct/character switching. How do I do the equivalent in Darq?

Regards.

A further question...

Quick Setup

Character list

The table showing your characters is generated each time you open the utility. Character specifications come from special files with the CDC file extension found in the logincache folder of your game installation. If you have characters on US and international servers, they may be in separate folders called logincache, logincache-us, etc. Each character has a separate CDC file.

In order for a character's CDC file to appear in the logincache folder, and therefore in the Quick Setup character list, you must have logged in to the Character Select screen with the character's account at least once. Each time you log in to Character Select, the CDC files for those characters are refreshed from the Daybreak servers. If you have recently reinstalled the game, or the logincache folder has been cleared for some other reason, or if one of your characters looks wrong, log in to Character Select and then reopen the utility.

Shutdown (Camp) window

When switching between characters, you can use the dropdown box on the Shutdown window to choose a character and server quickly. There are 16 character/server slots in the dropdown.

For each character that you want to appear in the list type a name and server. If you are using the window utility, you can reorder your character list in the Quick Setup grid by level, server, etc. Clicking Import as listed in Quick Setup will automatically import the list in that order into the Shutdown table. If you are using the in-game window manager, first select a slot in the table, then click Edit.

You may want to add characters to the Shutdown list that are not otherwise set up in the utility. Click twice on a server or name cell to type the information manually. If you want to prevent Quick Setup from changing your Shutdown list, check the Don't rebuild checkbox.

Thanks for the response about the character listings, cause I had similar questions I was trying to figure out.

Thanks for clarifying that. I have never typed /use before, just mouse clicks.
