Hi Darqwood! Thank you for the great UI. I was just wondering... do you think it's better to run the live or the normal version of the UI? Why are two different versions of the UI maintained?

I normally like to have my hotbars right above my chat windows. In the past, I've used "slim" chat window mods to remove the title bar area and such.

Currently, I have a set of frameless chat windows lining the bottom of my screen. I am using the "tab on bottom" version to reduce the amount of blank space above the window background... but the space for the titlebar is still there. This makes it difficult for me to mouse over or click an icon on the hotbar.

I would really love the ability to remove the chat window title bar area entirely.

Each interface has some advantages. DarqUI can be customized for up to 12 characters, and the Quick Setup feature does most of the work of setting up your characters automatically before you log in to the game. On the other hand DarqUI Live does not have a limit on how many characters you can set up, and all configuration changes are done on the game screen while you are playing. Some players object to running an app like the DarqUI Window Utility out of concern for security, so the DarqUI_Live interface folder is published periodically along with the updater.

Hiya Darq!

Back in the day Everfrost guildie of yours here. Great UI - working fantastic on my Wife's PC but I'm having issues. Quick and dirty, install went great, logged in and the UI did not auto load so I tried the /loadui and the game client shuts down - every time. The only thing I can think of is I'm running a 3840x2160 res and the UI may not blend well. Otherwise I can think of nothing that is any different than my wife's machine that, as mentioned, is running great.

Help is of course appreciated.

Sorry you're having trouble. Your screen resolution should not cause the UI to crash. Two things to try: 1) Log out of the game and then on the Settings tab of the utility click the "Make Default" button and follow the prompts. Log in again and see if DarqUI loads automatically without crashing.

2) If not, delete the entire DarqUI folder then open the utility and check for updates, then right-click the "Skip" column and skip all files. Accept and download one DarqUI file, the Broker window for example. Log in to the game and see if you have a DarqUI Broker window. (You may still need to do a /loadui once.) If that works, exit the game and try downloading the rest of the interface. Post here again if you are still unable to load the entire interface.

Hello, I tried to install this UI but I'm not seeing any changes in-game except that it is using the Vanguard style skin I selected, otherwise the interface is vanilla. I tried the DarqUI window and Live versions. I installed them like any other UI, made them default, ran the set-up and used /load UI.

Cleitanious, make sure you are running the window utility as administrator, and verify from the Settings tab that the files are being downloaded into the correct game folder location. Then press the "Make Default" button on the Settings tab and follow the prompts. If you are still unable to see the custom interface even after using the /loadui command, I'm afraid I don't have any other advice.

I am updating the UI and I noticed its not pulling the right info in. its all wrong loolz


Not pulling from the new server and my high level toons are showing on the wrong server. Is the new server called storms? Thanks

EDIT: I reinstalled the UI and it seems to be working now.

Not sure how.. but i can't reinstall the ui. On the today routine, i have update the ui, but the file update are disappeared.

I have this error in pretty much all file

ps. i have try to run the utility in "run as admin", without any result.

Ansomx, there was an outage with my server overnight, but a workaround was put into place this morning. Please give it another try and your download should work. If it does not, go to the Settings tab and choose "alternate download method" and try again. Post here again if you are still having trouble.

Hello and thank you for the great UI and utility. How do I get it to work with the EQ2 Maps?

If you already have DarqUI installed and working, the easiest way is to point the EQ2MAP updater to the DarqUI folder (EQ2MAP Options button). If EQ2MAP is already installed and working, you can install DarqUI into the EQ2MAP folder (Settings tab of the DarqUI utility). Either way, you are combining the two interfaces into one folder.
