belfegor, 1) what is happening in the utility just before you get this message, and 2) are you using the external German spell list? If so, try turning off the custom spell suggestions temporarily and use the internal (English) spell list.

Hi!
Is it only me who keep getting the zero-length error message when running the Window Utility? System: W7 UltimateN 64 SP1

The files the error message refers to are the followings:

DarqUI does not modify the AA window so you are already using the default.

Window for AA's not working

Hi there,

I just installed this UI today. Unfortuantly the window that has the AA's / Character Development is not working. Specifically it is the slider that sets the AA's. It is stuck at 100% on AA's and I am unable to move it or to type in the box where the 100 is, it is not clickable and will not move.

What exactly is this piece called? Then I could put the default in and see if that works.

EDIT: I found that the pet info tabs are available when setting the tabs to icons but they do not show up when set to words. It would be useful to add the tabs in text form.

The text tabs for Construct and Warden will appear depending on which class is loaded. The icon tabs will both appear, but only the correct class will work. Also, if you do a /loadui it messes up both sets of tabs -- you will need to zone once to get them sorted.

Channeler Pet Info

Hello, For some reason the Channeler Pet info tab along with the Beastlord Pet info tap isn't showing up in the player window. How can I get it to show up?

EDIT: I found that the pet info tabs are available when setting the tabs to icons but they do not show up when set to words. It would be useful to add the tabs in text form.

Take a look at the Maintained Spell Monitor. You can configure it on the SpellMon tab in the window utility. There is a good bit of help in the utility when you hover your mouse over the different controls. Pretty much any spell that appears in the Maintained window can be pulled out and monitored in a consistent place on screen, with some extra features (flashes when the timer is under 10 seconds, etc.)

Monitor MY Spell Countdown

I only use portions of DarqUI.

I am uncertain which file will monitor specific countdown timer for MY spells. Specifically, I want to monitor the countdown for when one of MY spells will FINISH (not re-castable). I see the countdown in the Maintained Spells but that bounces around and not easy to spot during a raid scenario. Do I need another file, or can I make it stationary through a setting?

Fazio: to remove chat text for Curse cures that you cast, go to Group >> Priest >> Raid Chat in the utility. If you want the announcement to show up in Group chat, move the text over to the Group Chat cell. To remove chat text for Curses that are cast on you, Hushed has it right: go to Detriment Alerts >> Channel in the Threat window. (This can also be permanently un-set in the utility on the Threat tab.)



Hushed: using /loadui has the possible side-effect of causing you to crash the next time you zone or camp. Unfortunately this can happen even when doing a /loadui Default. Your best bet is to set the custom UI to be your default so you don't have to use the command in-game. In the utility on the Settings tab, click "Make Default" and follow the prompts. This will set up your eq2.ini file. You can also use Notepad to open eq2_recent.ini from the main EQII folder, and check to see if your custom UI appears like this:

cl_ui_skinname DarqUI

This should get DarqUI to load when you log in, which should stop the zone/camp crashes. Post again if it's still giving you trouble.

Curse cure notification

When I use the cure curse when am I am in a group I keep on getting the message in chat that I am not in a Raid. Can I change this. I have looked but cant find it.

I a newb to this UI, but not to UIs in general. I am having two issues, one, I CTD when I attempt to camp out. I get this whether I have the full UI installed, or only a partial. Any suggestions here? I am using the /camp command to log out. When I come back in, I must /loadui and select the interface again.

***Update, I accidentally hit the Exit button while zoning, logged back in, and the UI was still default!


The other issues, is my spells, Photosynthesis III works fine in the spell monitor, but Nature's Embrace III and Sylvan Bloom IV don't. I see when I cast these, Photosynthesis shows up in my Maintained window, but the other two do not. Is that why? If so, is there another way I can know when these are ticking off my tank?

Steps done:

Toggled international compatibility changed on thing on the Spellmonitor Tab and saved it. Turned compatibility back on, quit the setup tool and entered the game.

Behaviour same as before.

Copy and pasted the spell names again from Logfile to xml, entered the game, now the spells with "ß" were monitored but couldn't be reapplied.

The errormesssge was "There is no spell with this name" regarding the spell "Buße VIII"

Opened the configuration tool, changed one spell, saved, again spells with Umlauts not working.

After getting the Monitoring to show the spells, the names in the Monitor changed from "Bu[][]e VIII" to "Bu[]e VIII" (no brackets but these carriage return rectangle).

I think there may be some kind of problem regarding the german internal translation of the game client itself. A pity I can't switch to english when playing on a german server. =(

But thank you for your awesome work nonetheless.

I'll try some other things a little bit later.
