I have different stats picked for different classes, but for example, right now on my assassin I have in window 17 DPS, Haste, Accuracy, AE Auto, Reuse, and Cast Speed. My reuse value is showing 76,718 (which is my ability mod value) and my cast speed value is showing 352, which happens to be my MA stat.

I've tried changing the valued being shown around, and it doesn't help.

Any thoughts? I can provide screenshots if it helps!

Not sure what's up there, Punky. I'll send you a PM with some questions over the weekend.

Check for updates using the new utility, then at the bottom of the list you should see all the themes including Storm.

I'm trying to have the deity buff "Trickster's Communion" display in the Maintained Spell Monitor, but I can't manage to get it working. This is a buff acquired by communing at the Bristlebane altar. I suspect the apostrophe may be the issue? I tried escaping it with the xml encoding (apos, with the amp and semicolon), but that didn't work. I was going to try the method Darq used to help the shaman by dumping it into the log and copy/paste it from there, but I couldn't find a way to get it into the logs. Anyone have success or ideas with this? Thanks!

I believe that spell only appears in Spell Effects, not Maintained. Unfortunately there is no way to track spells from there.

Quotes

You need to use the XML escapes for quotes and the like. I.E. &Amp; for ampersand. Use the same substitution styles for single quotes, double quotes, etc. Look up XML escape characters. The parsing is not HTML, its similar, and both are based on SGML, but XML is not the same.

One problem that I noticed right away is that if there is a single quote immediately following a variable ('for .'TNAME'. example'), the variable is treated as a string literal and displayed:
Code:
for . TNAME. example
If, however, there is a space between them ('for .' TNAME '. example'), the variable is interpreted and replaced but the space is also inserted:
Code:
for . Eandur . example
Also, a space is injected between a proceeding string literal and a variable but not between the variable and a succeeding string literal. In addition, any spaces that are between the variable and closing quote of the proceeding literal and the opening quote of the succeeding literal are displayed. Note carefully the spacing in the code blocks above.

Is there any reason that you can't do quoting like many modern programming languages do? For example, if you want to display a literal single quote, surround it in double quotes and vice-versa?

Is there any reason why HTML character entities aren't being expanded? I still think that would be the easiest solution, plus it eliminates the need for the Character Map application for those of us that are familiar with those codes.

Thanks for a great UI. Loving it.

Quotes can't be used because the strings are being processed within enclosing quotes (required by the XML), so any extra quotation marks will break the enclosing quotes. You could try experimenting with substitution and concatenation. For example, in the macro command line put

Code:

aa=`s bb=TNAME ## aa
In this command, bb will join the target name and the value of aa (that's a backtick, not an apostrophe). The ## sign concatenates without the extra space. Then on the groupsay line you can put

Code:

This is bb example
and you will get

Code:

This is Eandur`s example
The only problem with this is you have to press the button twice: once to "load" the mnemonic substitution for TNAME from the command macro, and a second time to display it. This is because the command macro comes after the other chat strings, so the variables aren't set until the second press. You will always get the previous value for TNAME, then the macro will load the new value. I could change the group window to run the macro before the tells, but it would mess up spell buttons for players who already have them set up the other way.

The ones I am having trouble with are: exclamation point (!), plus (+), minus (-), and apostrophe ('). However, some do, such as percent (%) and colon (: ), the latter of which behaves strangely, in that it deletes any proceeding text up to whitespace (e.g., "hello there!" would become "hello"). All the others except for percent do all kinds of crazy things as well.

You can use any symbols as long as you wrap them in single quotes. For example:

Code:

'-++==<<< You have been J-Capped! >>>==++-'
If the line uses mnemonics, make sure they stay separated out of the quotes:

Code:

'*** Casting ((' SPELL ')) on ' TNAME '***'
The only keyboard characters you can't display are single and double quotes. I'll add some more help text for this in the upcoming version.

A quick fix for this would be to enable the use of HTML entities such as:
Code:
'
Code:
+
Code:
−
etc.

I can add and name a slot but I can't do anything with it.

When you added the armor set it saved the list of equipment you were wearing at the time. Try equipping some different armor and save that as set #2. Now you can switch armor sets by choosing the one you want and clicking Equip. You might need sets for raid, group, solo, possibly a tradeskill set to quickly switch to pieces that improve your harvesting or tradeskill stats. You can create appearance gear sets in a similar way on the appearance tab.

Thank you! I'd love to be able to completely design my own stat bar layout (or at least have you do them for me -- for example, for the tradeskill one, I'd like the housing and leaderboards button, the zam harvesting link, and adorning, tinkering and transmuting skill levels. Since I use all the harvesting tools, I very rarely need to know what level my harvesting skills are.
