My guess is that you are using an oversize Windows font DPI scaling. Some of the application elements may be out of scale or in a strange place due to the way Windows arranges things for a nonstandard DPI. The DarqUI tabs are laid out in a very specific way to imitate parts of the game interface, so it's unlikely to be compatible with the custom font setting.

I'll see if Visual Studio has a way for me to force a certain layout to reduce the quirks you're seeing, but in the meantime you can set the screen to the standard DPI long enough to set up your characters, then switch back to your custom DPI scaling.

Hello again. My screen resolution is 1920 x 1080. when I click the quick setup button, ony seven character slots show up , and the bottom half of that pop up is cut off. I cant click the acknowledge or ok button to put my characters in the UI. I've tried chaging the resoultion down , but it didint do anything. windows recommended I use xp to run the program , but that didnt work either. I'll keep tryin , but hopefully someone has some ideas on this. thanks :-)

What is your screen resolution? The utility was designed to work within 1024x768 as a minimum. If your resolution is lower than that, the main tab area might cut off some of the controls in the way you describe. I can't test this because I don't have access to any computers that will display less than 1024x768.

Hi I love the UI. The only problem I have is the UI updater on this computer. It is distorted when load it and when i try the quick setup button it cuts off above the accept button. I cant get my characters uploaded to the UI. Is there anything I'm doing wrong ?

I've been absent from the game for years just came back. Want to try your ui watched the you tube video and everything, but the ui won't work for me. I ran it as admin the ui can't detect any of my characters and it won't work in the game for me. If you have any suggestions at all please let me know

Cdec518, you can use the DarqUI updater to drop only the tagging/spell monitor window into your current custom UI folder -- you dont have to take the whole interface. I suggest doing it that way since the updater also has a settings tab for the spell monitor that makes it more convenient to set up. Just check the "Skip" (ignore) checkbox on everything except the tagging window in the updater.

Would it be possible to release these as separate mods?

I am very picky about my UI mods, and some I like, some I don't. But the tagging window has me very intrigued honestly.

Vandayn, the hotbar timers aren't showing up because there aren't any. For years I also used the Profit hotbar, but when I started developing mods along the way it got left out. Last night I ran some zones with the timers and realized again how handy they can be.

You should be able to use one of the existing hotbar mods with minimal editing, and in the meantime I'll see if I can put something simple on the update server. There is not a lot of innovation for the hotbars aside from the countdown timers, so I'm not sure I'll have anything to add that wasn't already perfected in the earlier mods.

Howdy.

Liking your UI so far, trying to get used to it from having been a Profit user for many years now

However, one thing I cant seem to fix - the cooldown timers on the hotbars?
I think you have to switch them to Frame and Titlebar mode to be able to see the cooldown timers, but I have no such options under Window Settings on the hotbars.

Any clue on how to fix it?

Roxus, try switching to Mode 3 from the group window control panel. Mode 3 was designed to look like the default group window which does not show yourself. You will still get all the other features -- window scaling, spell icons, F-keys, cure check, audible detrimentals, archetype icons, etc.

If you find that you like Mode 3, you can use the window utility app to make it your default.

Hi,
Great UI, I was wondering and ive done it before on some other UI but is there a way to remove yourself from the group window?
When i'm not grouped i see my name there twice, in the Zonx Ui
he has it so the (I think it's called player window) Main character
window with health meter has cure clickables and F1, afk etc, then when u group you can see group window show up with just the other players in there. Or is there a way to remove the Main player window and leave group one in the corner?

Thank you Croshy, I'm glad you're enjoying the UI. The target ring is in an area that I don't modify, so you should be seeing the default. The options window (Alt+O) has some controls for the target ring that you may want to check out. It's possible that it got turned off, or the opacity got turned way down.

There has been some recent discussion about the in-game browser crashing on certain websites and even though ZAM is probably the best overall EQII resource, their page content and scripting are very intense which puts pressure on the simple Mozilla client provided with the game. My best advice would be to use the in-game browser for websites that you can get to reliably, and use an outside browser when you need to go to the more heavily scripted sites.

The DarqUI browser was designed to keep your most recent pages active even when you close the window, which does basically the same thing as a minimize button would do. If you're not getting this behavior when you open/close the window, try making a hotbar macro button with the simple command: /browser and see if that works better. There is also a browser button on the XP bar that does the same thing. To quickly clear the tabs and close the browser so websites won't run in the background, you can use the "Clear tabs and close" command on the browser tools menu.

Hello, Darq your UI is absolutely perfect ... i will never use another! The update feature and addons are great.

Still i got a few Problems:

1. When using the quick Button to look a Quest up on ZAM the Game crashes, this is not with EQ2i

2. A minimize Button for the Browser Window would be great

3. i can not see any target ring at the moment ... however
