The Journal Sort is a SoE bug and I get the overlay in Eq2map when I am in a supported area. The autoswitching was fixed fairly recently and I am unsure if it is on the updater yet but if you look under the profitui section on the forums for a post about the experience bar there is the fix to download.

I can confirm same problems with Quest Journal Sort and EQ2MAP. But the XP bar is working fine in maximized mode, switching between XP, AA, Tradeskill, and Guild. This may have been fixed very recently.

Do not mind the map problem, but the Quest Journal is a pain. Use this to see what group mates are working on, so we can work together on quests.

But good work on updates to UI so far, it would be a really big pain to have to go back to SOE UI. Thank You.

My current problems with profit UI is:
1) Quest Journal Sort by current zone dose not work.
2) XP bar can not change what XP to show if it is in maximized mode (like it used to be) only works if you have minimized mode that shows the buttons.
3) I also have EQ2MAP installed in ProfitUI dir. But I have not seen that blue marking for current quest that people that only use EQ2MAP see.

I wonder if anyone else have these same problems of if it's just me.
Also if there is some way to fix it.

everytime i log my start button is missing im forced to /loadui default , /loadui Profit , to make it reappear =( (the button with nightvision , browser , sound / video config ....)

sometimes i zone and the button is gone ><

any ideas? =S

I dunno if this will help, but I got the java updater to allow it by opening my web browser as administrator. If you have administrator rights for your computer, that should be all you need to do.

I downloaded Profit UI today and when I logged into game and type /load_uisettings there are my options:

1024 x 768
and a bunch of other resolution choices when I click on one it completed moves things around but it does not load the Profit UI files that I remember like the group window etc. Anyone else having this problem and how do I fix it? As a Templar Profit UI is a life saver literally and I do not know what to do until I can get it to work.

I see the orange java install bar at top left, if i click on that, it makes the profit load automatically , if this isnt working then you need to update java, or make sure your web security settings are allowing you to see the entire page

Updating your Java runtime can render the shortcuts you use to start the updater non-functional or remove them entirely. This is a known behaviour of Java that unfortunately cannot be prevented by us.

The easiest way to fix this is to start the updater from http://updater.pala.de by clicking "Launch" on that page, and then in the updater itself go to "Settings" -> "Updater" -> "Reset Shortcuts", which will restore working shortcuts to their default locations (if you were using shortcuts from a custom location you need to manually overwrite them with the new shortcuts).

http://updater.pala.de/launch.jnlp will not work for me either, due to the digital signature not matching, I do not download the zip files either, I just click the orange java button and let it take over and install, if this isnt showing idk, may try the help forum here

I play a healer and want to use it, and i DON'T want to use it for all other chars!

Is there a easy way to do this?

i think u get me wrong mate. There is no file i could run from my harddrive or even make a shortcut from. I do not have any profit ui files or updater files. If i download the archive and extract the files i get 2 shortcuts "Install ProfitUI Updater" and "Readme". If i open the "install profitui" file this site opens:"http://updater.pala.de/" all i can see there is the Server Default Page without any options or information belonging to the profitui.

so i downloaded the updater ran it and looked fin updated a bunch of files but when i log in game its not there i can /loadui and get the catalyst profit or whatever its called but it vary difrent from the profit i had before and have on my other computers also map updater is not there either and i downloaded it and ran it like nomal aswell

I downloaded it, extracted it and couldn't find it. Threw it on my desktop and all the files were there but no patcher icon. So as I attmpted to update the file (with java since thats my only option)it said I needed admin permissions and wouldn't let me run it. I tried everything I know how to and couldn't find other files with windows search either. This is the only screen I can get since the patcher is AWOL. When I click the button I get the admin message. The only desktop link I'm able to create is to a web page. I cant open web pages with admin permission. It has to be a program. The below page opens with java but is not a "program" it's a website. Edit: this is a copy/paste from eq2interface.



I downloaded Extreme UI for the time being. It's almost exactly the same as Profit UI from what I've seen.

have you tried opening the profit from hard drive then making a shortcut desktop icon? then right click that and run as admin?
