Thank you for the quick response. I am following your instructions to the letter but its just not working for me. I am not seeing the little POIFinder icon in my map window.

I downloaded the program, installed it to my eq2map subdirectory
(program files/everquestII/UI/MapMod/eq2map) I then modified the
eq2ui_mainhud.xml file to include

<include>eq2ui_mainhud_poifinder.xml</include>

which i placed right below the line that reads

<include>eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml</include> I double and triple checked to make sure I spelled everything correctly.

After editing, I saved the file to the eq2map subdirectory and then launched EQ2. Nothing.

Help, what am i doing wrong here?

All you have to do is UNZIP all the files into your \IU\XXXXXXX\ folder containing eq2map
Then edit your Mainhud file.

I would love to be able to use this mod. I am not having any luck with following these instructions. Can you plz clarify this sentence for me?

"overwrite the plugin_7.xml file in the eq2Map subdirectory, and create a poifinder directory with numerous xml files. Agree to overwrite any preexisting files".

What do i over write it with? and what are the numerous xml files? and agree to overwrite what?

I got all the rest of the instructions except for this. Plz Plz clarify.

Have you checked the blue line above?? that is the most common fault

I just installed the POI finder and have a black background and no borders. I looked through these post and found your post about fixing it but it didn't work for me. Any fix for this upcoming?

Some of the files must have ended up in the wrong place.

OK got it all installed and confirmed done right but here is the prob..

The button on the map to open POI finder appears but does absolutely nothing when it is clicked on :-) What's the solution for this?

I clicked the Minimize button to shrink the POI finder window. That worked as expected. When I clicked to restore to original size.. that DOES NOT work. You can not even resize the window. Closing, repopening does not fix it either. It stays the size of the title frame.

Also, I had a problem with a black background that drove me crazy till I realized that the background window slider was all the way to the left. If you have a problem like that, and you've done everything right, per the directions (especially the mainhud.xml inclusion) check that your window settings have the background slider set correctly.

Edit - used LoadUI to reload the ProfitUI .. camped, restarted EQ and now it works....

Problem: Button Works, POI window pops ... no text on it, just the beige background.

- Include file line inserted below the map line per instructions
- copied the two .dds files into the profitUI\images folder from default
- updated to 07/15 version.

Ideas ? what have i missed ?

I did a little bit of testing and saw was T.arkus was seeing after I used the minimize button a couple of times in a row. Switching to a different character seemed to fix the issue, at least until the next occurance. Suggesting a more permanant fix is a bit beyond my capabilities Its probably something that SOE will have to look into and resolve.

last update bugged shrink map, now if i close map shrinked and i reopen map, map is big and bugged.

Hello.
I use Fetish and POI finder (of course) and my problem is about the minimizing/maximising window. Sometimes it works but sometimes, when I shrink it and then try to restore it, the only thing I get is a strange black line over the title bar. Kinda like it showed a black window and then someboy slashed 99% of the upper part of the window. Yeah it's weird.

Closing POI or logging doesn't seem to work, you just have to close the whole EQ2 and restart it again. Any idea?
