There's a button in the map that opens it after the first time. Should be located near the top left corner. The idea there was that you might want the map up without the spoiler, or the spoiler without the map. Both of them open together take up a lot of screen space. But, I can make them open and close together always if that's a desired feature.

It is pretty cool, but it does not open and close with the press of M. It only opens that first time and if you click on the X it will not open the next time you press M. Can you tie it to open and close with the press of M please......

I first used it in EL. Noticed that you did not have many of the Tome titles just Tome Page.

I pulled the data from the eq2map poi data... just out of curiosity, what zone was it? Maybe I missed some, although it's been filled in for every zone I've looked in that has a map, I haven't been in every single zone so I may have missed it.

ROFL well I found out why my map spolier was blank when it came up. Its because there is no information for that area! WOOT lol.. I went to a older zone and thought I would try it there and PHOOF it worked the information was there. So I guess there is alot of updating information that need to be installed or working yet?

Anyway I am happy I was going nuts!

Yeah I have everything right checked and double checked. My Eq2 map spoiler is BLANK (not black) its a map color you know the tan color but nothing on it! Just blank other than that it workd! LOL

Auto update version should be fine. It's the same as manual. There was just no way to tag this file as working with either version of EQ2Map, and since all the other authors who've made additions to the map window attached them to the manual version, so did I.

The plain black window thing sounds like you don't have the map spoiler file included correctly. Assuming your UI directory is EQ2MAP, is there a eq2ui_mainhud.xml in the C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\EQ2Map directory?

If not, you need to copy that file from C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\Default to EQ2MAP, and then edit with the directions above. I'll try to get you sorted out. This is my first UI that needs this special instructions, so I probably worded badly.

I wanted to drop a note and let you know that I downloaded this, installed as instructed and started up EQ2. You were correct that I had to push the M key twice but it worked like a charm. I had a great list of everything. So it worked great for me.

One thing that may be different. And I know that it said you needed the EQ2MAP manual, but I have the auto update one. I just set it up so it doesn't run everytime. I start the update maybe once a month.

This may be, or may be not =), why I'm not having problems with it.

Trying it out myself and have found that as well as the couple of things you listed, the UI window for me at least is totally black regardless of any window changes I make to it. Once I get the window actively working (as I do sometimes have to open the map a few times) the window will open and it is a dark blue text on a black window.

Very much unusable for me atm, but hopefully it will become as polished as the rest of your work. A great idea and I hope it comes togethor.

PHOO what a good idea however no matter how many times I press the M key it won't pop up.. however once I logged out and left my map open, when I logged back in the pop-up was there but BLANK! So its either no pop-up or if the map is left open when I log out its there when I log in and the map is still open and then the pop-up is there but blank. I would LOVE this!! Wish it worked for me
