Re: You have to have custom UI?
download this, copy the files to the eq2map folder in your UI directory. In game press "o"
in the macro tab create a new macro named Info Center, I use the ? icon. Then for the first line put
/show_window Journals.InfoCenter
Done, hope you enjoy this great mod!

WOW! I mean Really!....
Where to find the words to express the Amazingness...the sheer wealth of informatory goodness that lies within the INFOcenter! The unadulterated Gleefullness that arises from the knowledge that now there will be a swift kick in the behind to the boringly tedious exercise of Sifting thru massive threads, traversing from site.. to site... to site
in order to find the arrow that points to the tiny thing ya tried to find out 3 hours ago!
No More!
A quick click of a macro and a few buttons and we can jump right back into thrashing whatever drooling gnoll, undead pinata or furry/scaled/leathered slavering abomination that happens to be between us and our current grail, whatever that maybe at the time!
 WELL DONE!
Sorry. I'll shut up now.

thus bypassing the having to type the command every time
|
You can also make a macro for it /show_window MainHUD.InfoCenter and only have to type it once

You need to make sure the "infocenter" folder is located in your custom UI directory along with the eq2ui_mainhud_infocenter.xml file. Do *not* make any changes to the arrangement of its subfolders and files, though, or the game won't be able to find the info it's supposed to display.
