I downloaded the EQ2Map and installed it perfectly fine, but when I go to run the Launcher from my desktop, I get "This program must be run as an administrator" and some blue EQ chat window pops up! What happened to the original nice EQ2 Sony window launcher? I can't even get into my game now!

With the new maping system that shows where you need to go for most quest in the GD and other area in the Exp. are you going to make the old maps show where you need to go or what area you need to to get the quests done. The new maping system I think is great and would love to see it on all the maps.

Any ideas why my map isn't updateing the DoV zones? I haven't added any new interfaces or done anything differently.

I was able to get it to work if I delete my auto attack bar ui, is there no way to get them to work together? I've had the attack bar since before the xpac.

Does eq2map mod have anything that will display question location on map instead of having to search for "queststart", "npc" everytime?
I noticed in the sinking sands when I picked up a new quest my map will have the question location (where I need to go) outlined in blue but i've only noticed that works in sinking sands.

Hey ive download this and it wont add the maps to the in game. i do everything said to do but when i log into the game nothing. no maps of dungeons or other areas. i have the orginal maps by eq2 defaults but now of instances. pls help! i even have the auto updater for the profit ui and have no maps of dungeons or instances.

My EQ2maps Options tab will not allow me to paste changes into the Everquest 2 or Autolaunch EQ2 lines :=(

I can't delete.. or change the lines and although the browser button lets me browse to the EQ2 Extended location the change doesn't take.

This is how you do it ... at least with Windows Vista.

Download and install EQ2MAP-Updater-1.2.4-Setup

Run EverQuest II Extended
Top Left - Click on "Options"
Then click on Game Folder: "Open"

Windows Folder will open.
Copy the path at the top of the Folder
My Path was: C:\ProgramData\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II Extended

Open EQ2 Map and click on "Options"
Paste the path in both Everquest 2 and the Autolaunch EQ2.

Click "ok"

and run EQ2ext

Should work.

I couldn't find the path manualy for some reason. Maybe it has something to do with it being hidden. Well, I'm glad I got this working. Good luck.

I am unable to browse to the directory where the EQ2 executable resides for Sony's new EQ2 Extended application. Is EQ2 interface compatible with the new beta?

I love EQ2MAP, but...this game update really messed up my UI. I miss the nice small "clean" square that the mini-map was previous to this game update. Is there any way to revert back the Pre-Update version? The whole built in compass and location, and the globe thing are just plain ugly, and take up way to much space on-screen for their purpose. Thanksya for any and all responses and/or help given on how to revert back to the nice clean pre-update window. ~Xant~
