Transmuting skill ups

I've gotten up to 180 in my transmuting skill, and I am crafting even skill cheap items at the appropriate table. But, I can not skill up past 180. What is the problem, any idea?

What is your tradeskill level? You will be limited by that aspect so if I remember correctly the transmuting level is tied to your main crafting level. The formulas I have seen on eqiiforums.station.sony.com have been (tradeskill level * 5) + 5. So if we take your 180 - 5 = tradeskill level * 5 ==> 175/5 = tradeskill level ==> tradeskill level = 35. If that is the case then you are limited by being a level 35 tradeskiller and thus cannot transmutate higher than level 35.

But since the eqiiforums and EQ2 in general is down, I have no way to know if these are correct. I do know that it is tradeskill level limited since it is a secondary to your main tradeskill.

Well, that used to be correct =)

It's now linked to the higher of your tradeskill or adventuring level. So, whats your harvesting skill max... that'll be the same as your transmuting max.
