Default Saving UI Configuration ?

Hello,

I read somewhere, and I do it one time, there is a way to save UI configuration (which can betoggle buy pressing F10) by typing keys.

unfortunately I don't remember which key are concerned.( I check Manual and different help files but don't find the information)

If someone could help me, it'll be great.

Thank

Asfel

Your UI is saved to your default EQ2 installation folder and is named as follows:

<servername>_<charactername>_eq2_uisettings.cfg

For example, mine is named oasis_meissa_eq2_uisettings.cfg

This file is created and saved automatically. You can use it for alternate characters by simply renaming the <charactername> portion of the filename to match that of your alternate character (you may need to delete the existing file for your alt first).

Hope that helps.

What I told you above *is* the configuration for the entire UI placement.

The file Itanius mentioned handles the window placement, size, opacity, et al. It doesn't require that you be using any custom UI mods for it to exist, and I believe it is the one you're looking for. As to an in-game command to accomplish the same thing, I don't know of one, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

what i thnk he means is that he has his ui setup one way, then presse F10 to change it to a differant setup (windows in differant spots)

As far as i know the F10 only toggles between a few settings (custom, none showing, and all windows set to full opacity)

Thank all for your help.

I didn't retrieve where I read that the UI can be save.

It seems that it is automatic, but may be it's bugged because some windows, especially inventory move , even is I fixe it in windows option.

I think there is no solution to this issue

Have fun !!
