Default EQ2.ini file viewer

I'm really curious as to what data is stored in the EQ2.ini file, but it's encrypted. Someone mention that I merely download an INI file viewer, but even with a Google search I can't find just an appl that lets me view that file. Does anybody have a link to the app that is used to view that EQ2.ini file?

You sure it's EQ2.ini? that file is not a default one and must created... do you mean the UI files? like SERVER_CHARACTER_eq2_uisettings.ini ?

No, there is a file in the main EQ2 directory called EQ2.ini. The text is encoded...I want to be able to read it.

That isnt anything EQ2 made. The eq2.ini is created by >>you<< when you want to use a custom interface and should have no encoded text. See the faq.eq2interface.com install instructions for more info on the eq2.ini.

Thats why Drumstix42 said what he said.

Which is why I want to be able to read it. If it's where my window information is kept (i.e. 3 chat windows with X info going in Win 1, Y info in Win2, etc, I can watch how it changes and fix it.)

well i think the better way to try to understand it is to hexa edit it and try to make a explanation of all values on it.

for exemple on the uibuilder, put a windowd at position 101,101 and after try to look for the value on hexa of 101 101 and look on this file, maybe you can find it and edit it but be carefull to be sure that it is the right value
