You should be able to drop the file(s) into your EQ2Map directory and go. However, seeing it is such an old mod, I don't know if it will work as is (since a number of game updates have come through since it was created/updated).

That file is fine, just don't use the included eq2ui_mainhud.xml, it is outdated. Instead copy the one from your \UI\Default folder into your EQ2MAP folder and add this line

<include>eq2ui_mainhud_notes.xml</include>

You will need to do that everytime SOE updates that file.

Take note of his installation instructions otherwise, you need to run a batch file which will create the xml, and then move that xml into your eq2map folder.

Another mod that also has a notes section is Milquetowst InfoCenter btw.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

It may be more than you're looking for, but there's always Milquetowst's Info Center. It has a bunch of useful information in it in addition to a section for personal notes. If that's not what you had in mind, eXtremeUI (a full-blown custom UI, not just a standalone mod) also has a note window in it.
