Unable to install any UI. Nothing works
I recently reformatted my comp, and put in a few upgrades. Now when I try to install the UI it just doesnt work. I tried the Taesteel Night mod, the Version 8. Everything, I followed the directions on making the Ini file, I tried for 3 hours it just doesnt want to work. I name my folder bobsui in the UI folder. Extrated everything to that folder without putting it in another folder, made the ini file by copying and pasting it into Text document, saved it as eq2.ini I made sure the file extensions was checked off and it shows it as what it really is. Im using the Resolution its made for. I see NO REASON why it will not work. What can I possibly be doing wrong?

Zip your eq2.ini file and attach it here.
Right-click on your custom UI folder and click Explore. Take a screenshot of the Explorer window (Alt-Printscreen, paste into Paint, save as jpg) and attach it here.
That should give us enough info to tell you what's up.

Wow, that eq2.ini is messed up. What text editor are you using to edit it?
edit: Try just using notepad to edit your eq2.ini and clear out all the text and make it look like the one in the faq.

Not using any editor. I just open up a text file. Input the two lines of codes just like the Help explanation shows it. Save it as the eq2.ini and thats bout it. I have no idea why it comes up like that.
Edit: Would the reason be of Saving it but setting the Encoding to ANSI have anything to do with it?
Edit2: If possible could someone please create the ini for me. save it and upload it to here with bobsui in it? Exactly the same as the help one cuz I think my new OS is screwing with it somehow when saving it.

Maybe this has something to do with it? Everytime I unzip it to Sony>Everquest2>UI>bobsui this shows up along with the contents of the file.

Edit: Starting to wonder if its the new OS im using....

attached is an eq2.ini file that would load custom ui mods from a bobsui folder located at everquest II\UI\bobsui
(this is just the file created from the example)

Not even that worked....I got the bobsui in the UI folder under Everquest2, I extracted the BottomV8.Zip files into the bobsui folder. I placed the eq2.ini file you gave me into it *extracted from zip folder of course* loaded up the game, still will not work.
Its almost like the game doesnt want me to use UIs....and I know its English version cuz I Live in the states and I ordered the game from EBgames when it nearly came out.
What is goin on here. How could reformatting my comp and upgrading my Windows XP Pro SP1 to windows XP Pro SP2 Corporate Edition be preventing me from using a UI?

no it doesnt go there, the eq2.ini goes in your everquest 2 folder and not in the ui folder.
