Default Problem getting EQ2maps & Infocenter to work

Hi all, im trying to get both EQ2maps and Infocenter to work side by side but so far no luck, ive edited the eq2.ini file to read the following:

cl_movie_enabled 0
cl_ui_skinname Custom
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/

I have the info center folder inside the custom folder with the xmls for it just inside the custom folder. When i dump eq2map into the custom folder, i lose its function, so i can only get one or the other, any help on what im doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

cl_ui_skinname Custom
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_movie_enabled 0

it should more likely like that.

extract the EQ2Map into the custom folder too.

You could actually only load one ui-folder.

And don't make an EQ2Map or InfoCenter Folder in the Custom folder by yourself, unless the mod has folders by itself.

For example in the Custom Folder you should have some *.xml files and some subfolders (when you install Infocenter and EQ2Map correctly)

It just depends on what you had first. I'm betting you've had EQ2MAP installed for a bit so your custom UI directory will be EQ2MAP if installed via the auto updater.

if that being the case your eq2.ini file should look like;

cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_movie_enabled 0

It doesn't matter what order they are in as the game loads these as settings before it loads in the UI.

You will need to extract the infocenter.zip file into the EQ2MAP directory, assuming all things above is true.

The reason it didn't work with the way you had it is because you had two cl_ui_skinname settings listed. Being the game reads the file top to bottom it was setting EQ2MAP as the skinname (folder) and over writing the previous setting mad to cl_ui_skinname.
