Default eq2.ini need some help here :)

I love the map mod, you did a great job on this one. Just fix the RV map now :P

On to the subject/question

I read the FAQ on installing mods and have tried a couple that will not work.

Here is my question, just to make sure I am doing it right

Here is my eq2.ini
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/

Do I add the mods to the EQ2MAP dir? As an example: Just downloaded Quibs store window. Quib yer my Hero

Do I add the XML file to my EQ2MAP Directory or make a new dir for the mods.

And if I make a new dir "bobsui" what would the eq2.ini look like?

Or could I do this?
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_skinname bobsui

Servers are down now so I cannot test this.

Default err...

I am just learning this stuff, but I was not aware eq2map was a skin? Last time I checked you just download the installer and follow the prompts atleast thats what I did.

Cobalt, actually you will create one folder only, and put all mod pieces you want there...

For example

Create a folder:

UI\Cobalt

and edit eq2.ini

cl_ui_skinname Cobalt
cl_ui_subdir UI/

See?

EQ2map folder should actually be a sub-folder within your custom UI folder... it is simply a map mod and not a UI skin.

I fixed it.

I just reversed the info in the ini file.

cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/

to
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP

I do not use that many mods and always have a backup.

Thanks Kobara, I did it your way and it works fine.
