need help with ini

I have downloaded some of the interfaces. One of them included the ini files. I cannot find the EQ2 Directory file, so I added the ini files to the "resent" ini file folder. The problem is everday I have to replace them in the folder. Can somone help me. I know EQ2 for dummies. lol
