Problem:
Error Getting File List: System
at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.CheckFinalStatus()
at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
at System.Xml.XmlDownloadManager.GetNonFileStream(Uri uri, ICredentials credentials)
at System.Xml.XmlDownloadManager.GetStream(Uri uri, ICredentials credentials)
at System.Xml.XmlUrlResolver.GetEntity(Uri absoluteUri, String role, Type ofObjectToReturn)
at System.Xml.XmlTextReader.CreateScanner()
at System.Xml.XmlTextReader.Init()
at System.Xml.XmlTextReader.Read()
at System.Xml.XmlReader.MoveToContent()
at System.Data.DataSet.ReadXml(XmlReader reader, Boolean denyResolving)
at System.Data.DataSet.ReadXml(String fileName)
at WindowsApplication7.Form1.DownloadExtras()The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server.

Solution:
The updater cant connect to the internet, you must allow the updater to connect to the internet. The most common problem is a firewall that is not set up properly.

Also getting this message, and the funny thing is that the it pops up even without a firewall running. Any hints?

Do you have Windows Firewall running in the background and not even aware of it?

Shouldn't matter, the Windows Firewall doesn't block outbound connections.
