you should be able to do it, you dont really need any knowledge of xml if you dont want to, you can build the whole ui through the ui builder. the main thing you willl need if you dont already is a way to save .dds files (if you have photoshop there is a plugin, and i know some other graphics programs you can get plugins for as well)
