*ATTENTION* If you use custom UI and crash when loading char, or have black screens
Go to your mod directory, i.e. /UI/MainMOD/ or whatever, and open your eq2ui.xml file in a text editor.
Make sure all of these lines are in the file: <include>eq2ui_commonelements.xml</include> <include>eq2ui_textstyles.xml</include> <include>eq2ui_shadowstylesnew.xml</include> <include>eq2ui_specialelements.xml</include> <include>eq2ui_windowelements.xml</include> <include>eq2ui_arenachampions.xml</include> If they are not, add them anywhere before the </Page> line. That should take care of everything. I am posting this in all forums I feel necessary. |
I uploaded my own working eq2ui.xml file to http://www.improvmastsa.com/eq2ui.xml for comparison. Look through there and see if it helps you at all.
Be aware that we probably have different mods and some things in mine may not necessarily need to be in yours, or some things in yours may not need to be in mine. I really don't know enough about all this mod stuff to help you any more than that... I'm just a hack who gets pissed when his game crashes and will stare at file creation dates and crashlogs to figure out what to do. :P |
Please dont post your questions in this thread. If you have issues/problems please start your own thread including as much information you can and a link to the interface you are using.
Thank you. :) |
Wha?
I went into the .xml file to change some things that werent there ( <include>eq2ui_commonelements.xml</include>
<include>eq2ui_textstyles.xml</include> ) those, and it wont let me add or delete any information... how do I get it to fit in? NVM I figured it out :D But, my game is still crashing, what now?!? |
Do you crash using the default UI?
Just move the file eq2.ini from your Everquest II folder to somewhere else temporarily to use the default UI. |
