New guild window

Leader and Officers that auto join chat channels will experience a problem setting Event Filters and Rank permissions. You will see your self speaking in your autojoin channels with commands like "You tell <channel>, "16 true".

You need to leave your chat channels for things to work. I have not tried this but it would make sense. It looks like the guild window uses the chat channel system to set ranks and permissions and some one using autojoin channels messes things up.

I can confirm both the problem and the fix mentioned above. I had to /leavechannel # for ever channel I was in while I setup all the permission for my guild. After that I was able to join all my channels again.

Keep in mind that until SOE fixes the issue, you will have to leave all your channels while you adjust permissions.

It really bugs me that SOE knew about this, yet they still released the update with the window. Sometimes I wonder what they are thinkin

Wonderful. Props to them for the quickfix. Anti-props for not having done it in the first place :mad:

Sorry about that DC, the bug report on that came in late enough that my fix wasn't done in time for yesterday's final build.

I'm not mad at YOU because at least you were working on a fix. I know that you knew about it at least yesterday, before the patch came out. Since I don't know every (or any) nuance about workin at SoE, it just seems logical that, well ... "hey look we have a bug on this, lets hold off on the patch till its fixed" I didn't even honestly expect LU8 until tomorrow morning at the earliest ... anyway enough of my ramblings.

From the Devs:

You can also use the /guild command to modify the values without going through the UI, like this:

/guild rank_permission 1 0 False

This would remove invite permission for rank 1 (senior officer). Here's the full documentation:

guild rank_permission <RankId> <PermissionId> <True | False>

PermissionId is:

0 = INVITE

1 = KICK

2 = PROMOTE

3 = DEMOTE

4 = PATRON

5 = DEPATRON

6 = MOTD

7 = RANKPERMISSIONS

8 = RANKNAMES

9 = SEE_OFFICER_NOTES

10 = EDIT_OFFICER_NOTES

11 = SEE_OFFICER_CHAT

12 = SAY_OFFICER_CHAT

13 = SEE_GUILD_CHAT

14 = SAY_GUILD_CHAT

15 = EDIT_OWN_NOTES

16 = EDIT_OTHERS_NOTES

17 = EDIT_EVENT_FILTERS

18 = EDIT_EVENTS

The filter to announce guildmate logging in or off does not work either. Unclick it, it still notifies if a member logs on/out.

Just to get this in the same place as other comments...

Edit MotD pops up the HUD.Choice window with instruction text overlaping the scrollable input area. Apparently the instructions are using the "Text" object and should probably be using the vertically shorter "ShortText" object. TextAllignmentVertical=Top would also do the trick ;)

Guild Window Probs

Hello All,

I'm having a problem with TyeJae's Night Steel UI guild window. It won't show recent events just for starters. Does anyone know what I can do to get it to work? :confused:
