Insomniac and ZoleN Combo help
 

I'm attempting to get the type of interface setup as in the example screenshot of this UI Insomniac and Zolen combo
it seems the interface loads...the colors change from the original and I have the hp/mana value in numbers on my screen and such...but the blackness above and below the view space remain minimal and I dont have the 3 or so chat bars (nor the rest of the stuff)

I try /loadui and I only have the default listed. I've looked at other posts and my UI folder is in the right spot and my eq.ini is in the right location too...

also...is there any way to make it so both the top and bottom minimize when changing the widescreen? would like it if just the bottom or the top could be adjusted independently so I dont have to have a 2 inch viewspace in order to add chat windows

That's a setting in the options window, it'll be under display or user interface. the panel is called widescreen or letterbox
The chat boxes you make yourself. right click on the chat window and click "new chat window" and a new one will appear.
Don't worry there's not anything wrong with the installation, stuff like how many chat boxes and the size of the letterbox and window placement isn't determined by xml, it has to be set by the player (or if kudane wants to, he could add a ui settings file ;) ) Sorry the widescreen has to be even. it's harcoded.

When I loaded the UI, it showed my character's name was now "Longestnameposs" and showed my health at about half, my level bar at half with a huge death exp debt reminaing.

I unloaded the UI and everything was back to normal.

What is up with all that?

you have ignored all the post on this site that say do not use /loadui it DOES NOT WORK..

read the README.TXT file for installation instructions.
