Trouble saving dds files.
 

Okay I'm using Photoshop and saving my files using the dds plugin. I can get them to view in EQ2 fine now but the backgrounds are visible and I'd like them transparent. What am I missing that I need to do to set my transparent background?

it depends where, some of the backgrounds are in the xml. what window and what spot?

ok I'm modifying the Knowledge window I get the spellbook graphic to display but don't want black around the edges of the book. Normally thats the Transparency layer in a gif but when I save the file as dds (no Alpha) it still shows the black border around the edges of the book. How are you all saving the dds so that the backgrounds are still transparent?

What dds settings are you using? Usually dxt3 or 5 works for me. Check the alpha layer to make sure its correct. If none of that works, just post whatever you're having a problem with.

actually I've been using DXT1 and the second DXT1 because mainly I don't know the difference hehe.
