Why put LFG tag in group data?

Magus 07-19-2005 05:01 AM

Might be able to poll your own status using that? *shrug*

Nope, there is no self data in groupdata, just members 2-5. Maybe they are adding group LFP but its not on test yet, guess we'll wait and see.

LFG in group data

The LFG dynamic data mirrors the current UI. The value is set to visible if the LFG buttons should be visible at that group member slot (basically the first empty one.)

"Self" data can all be found in another location.

What we are looking for are the indicators for poison, arcane, etc. for the actual player.

In a full group you might have up to 30 buffs. Then it is hard to see if one debuff hits you. So it would be nice, if you could have the above named indicators not only for group mates but also for oneself.

I think that is not possible by now. :( Am I wrong, of if not, would it be able to ad this information?

That would be really  ! :nana:

Ok that makes sense now, thanks Bobble

Yikes. I'm really confused sorry... (Basic rule of thumb: believe the data not bobble.)

Group0 is you. It has the Effect1 (trauma), Effect2 (arcane), Effect3 (noxious), and Effect4 (elemental) dynamic data.

I guess its still not possible to get that DD to show up outside of the group window though?

SOE_Bobble 07-20-2005 12:20 PM

By definition, the dynamic data can be used anywhere.

Did you have a problem with a particular piece of data?

Mr Bobble,

Thanks for the quick response..... Previous attempts to use DD from the groupmembers pages in other pages outside of groupmembers, Had failed (well for me anyway), I will go ahead and do what I had planned to do and post the results.... With more infomation if it fails.

Oks this is what I just found...

The effects 1,2,3,4 DD for group_0 (you) will work outside of the groupmembers page, As I have it placed in the player window...... But will only show the "icon_transp1.dds" icon when an effect is placed upon you..

As a guess the reason for this being if the DD for the IconStyles.Effect is getting called from the Effects window it will show a different icon than if it is getting called from the GroupMembers page.... So I guess there is no instruction for what icon other than "icon_transp1.dds" to display if the DD is getting called from another page.

I surpose the fix for this would be to make a variation of IconStyles.Effect that will push the group effects icon to another window?

(does this make much sense? lol)

Failing that could just set the style in Effect1,2,3,4 to point to its specific icon
