Installing just 1 mod?

So I went through the FAQ and all I can find is stuff about installing full mod packages. I am looking to just install one or two mods and use the rest of the interface that comes with the game. How do I go about this?

Thanks!

The individual mods should generally contain information on how to install them. But the process is pretty much the same for both full UIs and individual mods: you'll put files in a folder and reference it in your eq2.ini. Any files not found in that folder the game will automatically pull from the default UI.

If you have specific UIs you're talking about that don't have instructions, give a link to them and we may be able to give you more specific help. One thing to keep in mind is when UI mods were last updated: if it's too long ago they may not work (and can result in EQ2 crashing and other bad things).

The eq2.ini step is no longer needed for making a UI your default UI. The /loadui command will perma change the UI now(unless you have an eq2.ini file then it will default to the ui in that file).

So basically all you have to do is type /loadui in the chat window and pick what UI you want from the list.
