Problem

is anyone out there, besides me having a problem with chat window filters resetting to default, anytime you go LD (or don't properly camp)? it's become downright irritating, considering how often i go LD some days. i can't seem to get an answer from Sony as to why this is occurring (not like that is a big surprise or anything...if they didn't ignore me, i'd probably get the standard "it's your router/firewall/vid card...the problem isn't on our side" reply  .

any of you geniuses( :D ) out there have any theories?

Simple.

Change the setting as you like, then CAMP OUT.
This will save the setting.
After that you will always have the saved settings after going LD.

I get this even after camping (well /quit but it should do the same), happens to the wife as well and is damn annoying. My combat window always reverts back to mirror the original window with everything selected.

EDIT

I actually mean i get it happen after a LD with a camp imbetween, doesn't read quite like that.

No Kelbar, i don't think you understand, it's not quite that simple...

if i manage to camp, life is good...
but the first time i go LD, it resets, regardless of whether it was saved when i camped. So, i come back from LD, repair the windows again, i even tried camping right after, to save, but next LD, come back and it's reset again...now there are some days that i only go LD once and all is good, but like last nite, i went LD 5 or 6 times in 2 hours. Camping out properly, i can control, LD's i can't.

I have the same exact problem, and its annoying as hell because I have 3 windows. There is so much spam in EQ2 its really hard to chat and play without your windows set up :).

Im at work not at home but there should be a file in your eq2 directory that saves the locations of the windows in game. If you find that file make it write protected and it should protect the file from any changes

I have a similar problem. I have 3 chat windows. One for guild chat. One for other types of chat. And the last for battle spam. The funny hting is only the battle spam chat window resets. The other 2 stay the same. I think i will try the above advice from Averad.
