DarqUI Unified


February 24 Target and Implied Target effect icons can be resized. The Beastlord window was simplified and no longer needs a configuration page in the window manager.

DarqUI Unified combines the best of DarqUI, DarqUI Live and EQ2Inventory into one, with some useful new features. Standard DarqUI users can now choose to make quick, permanent configuration changes right from the game screen while playing, as an alternative to loading up the external window utility. There is no longer a limit to the number of characters that can be customized, and many of the settings that were previously shared by all of your characters can now be configured for each character separately.

DarqUI Live users can take advantage of an all-new configuration app with features like Quick Setup, backup and restore, character and spell file maintenance, and a new lookup feature that queries Daybreak servers for spell lines and icons to use for your spell buttons. The DarqUI Unified configuration app has been rewritten from the ground up to provide all of the conveniences from the DarqUI Window Utility and the Live Updater. You will find many usability improvements and an uncluttered design that matches the familiar in-game window manager.

Large size windows DarqUI Unified offers larger-size versions of many windows to accommodate higher resolution monitors. Choose the size you prefer from the Updates page of the utility. These include Active Journal (quest helper), Casting Bar, Chat, Dissonance, Experience Bar, Group, Implied Target, Maintained Spell Monitor, Maintained Spells, Mercenary, NPC Spell Monitor, Pet, Player, Raid, Savagery, Target, Threat and Tracking. DarqUI windows that were already usable with higher resolutions include Detrimental Effects, Hotbars and Spell Effects.

EQ2Inventory Track and search equipment, bags, bank, shared bank, house vault, mount inventory and up to 9 houses, guild hall and player-made dungeons per character from the DarqUI Unified interface.

Chat Log Parser features keyword, category and date/time searches that recognize English, German and French log files. Use the preset category filters or build your own using regular expressions.

EQ2MAP integration Install and update EQ2MAP alongside DarqUI with a single click.

Help system Help files are now available for all DarqUI Unified windows and utility functions. Context-sensitive help information can be accessed externally from the window utility or from the window manager in-game. Use the new, more robust "Make default" feature on the Files page of the utility to set DarqUI as your default. This will prevent needing to use /loadui from the game window which crashes the awesomium browser.

Spell Suggestions There is a new French spell suggestion file in addition to German and English.

DarqUI Unified Notifications is a Windows tray icon that checks periodically for DarqUI and EQ2MAP updates. More information for setting up and using DarqUI_Notify can be found here. The app is optional, and is included in the download on this page.

Experience/Command Bar Issue with Templar (only)

I am having a problem with my exp/command bar on my templar. I have 9 other toons and their bars are completely fine. My templar's only has the exp section without the command parts at either end. What do I need to fix this?

Aniko, try the group window linked below. To go back to normal, download again from the utility or use Notepad to change a value near the top of the window:

<Data Name="HideWindowSolo" Value="false" />

Also I forgot to point out that window mode 0 (zero) will do the same thing as this. But you won't see your own name in the Group window, similar to how the default group window works. You can change to mode 0 on the settings tab for the group window.

Thanks for the support!

The fast travel icon is down on the right end of the toolbar. Stretch the window just a bit wider and it should appear. If you want to use a hotbar macro instead, the command is:

smp pon pon_teleport

Maps Fast Travel Button

Hey there, is there any way to bring back the Fast Travel button from the default map, or am I just being dumb and can't find it's new location?

Yes there is, in fact it's part of the default game interface. The DarqUI Help file for bags and boxes gives a brief tutorial for finding and using the snap-to-grid setting:

Snap to grid Although it is not controlled by DarqUI custom settings, the snap-to-grid UI feature is worth mentioning here since it greatly improves the adjustment of bag (and other window) locations. In the Game Options (Alt+O) window, navigate to User Interface >> Game Windows >> Windows Snap to Grid. Make sure you are viewing Advanced options (Advanced/Basic button at the top of the Options window).

Choose a very small Snap to Grid Size, 5 pixels for example, and check the checkbox for Windows Snap to Grid. None of the other settings need to be adjusted. Because the invisible grid size is small, your bags will now be much easier to align without losing control of them. You can always come back and uncheck the option if the snap grid seems too restrictive.

Is there currently an implementation of a grid overlay, or snap to grid alignment for moving UI components around, or is it maybe an easily implemented feature you would think of adding.

I'm somewhat OCD about having my stuff lined up perfectly and a feature like this, (unless already available and I have missed it,) would make adjusting layouts immensely easier.

Hiza, thanks for your comments. 1) Audible setpoints were firing at inappropriate times since a number of stats reset whenever you log in, switch characters, or change zones. If I can work out the details on silencing audibles during these resets, I can put them back in. 2) You have it set up the right way, one tile for each logical expression. I see what you want to do with Fervor and I'll look at combining expressions. 3) Make sure the name of the maintained proc has not changed. Spell monitors from different authors use the same dynamic data listeners, so if it shows up in DrumsUI it should show up in DarqUI.
